What engine to you use?

Try the medium engine.

The top end engine will yield slightly faster lap times, but the time saved is wiped out and then some by having to make an extra pit stop.

The race length is a factor on whether you use the top or medium end engines on Speedway.

I tried the top end engine in practice and ran out of fuel 30 seconds before my scheduled stop using the medium end engine.

Even the medium end engine is pushing it for 1 pit stop at 8 minutes. It depends on your lap times though.

Thanks for the tip Rob! I got my last run in with only one pit...Had 0.3 left in the tank when I pitted LOL

4 lap improvement. Nice!

4 lap improvement. Nice!

The engine swap and some throttle control helped a lot!

I'm still running a top end engine.

Well aren't you special :p:

I just made my first practice laps on the Fiorano track...I'm going to need a lift kit and MT tires for this one! Should be fun LOL

Dang I'm in last now! Means I'm gonna have to put in some more practice and run my 3rd....

Dont worry, I bombed! I got hacked like 6 or 7 times! I was trying my best to get around to the line before time so I could get the extra lap in for free but it didnt happen...

Wow, what a run! I almost got ya Rob. I did some retuning on my car and can run 68-69 laps on a single stop. So I went and put in a second run. I made 65 laps and only .085 sec behind you  But I got your fast lap by .004 sec :p:

I am so pissed right now I have smoke coming out of my ears!!!!! My first run was going great, until....the pit stop. I pull in, hit the f key, the car disappears, when it finally shows up again, it refuels, then drops the car on the track not running, so I have to hit f again, and wait some more, well now I'm f-in pissed, so the rest of the run went to poop. I had even beat Randys fast lap on that run, had it not been for the program totally screwing me I may have had somehing for the leaders, and I at least would have had the fast lap. So, I run again, now I am pissed off already and just did not have the run I was having before the pit bullshit. I am really mad and disappointed, and doubt I'll run again this week. I don't mind doing bad when it's my fault, but to be screwed like that by the f-in program really stings.:angry::angry:

Don't blow a gasket Joe,I know it sucks. If it's any consolation,I think Rob counts the fast lap from any run,not just the official last run of everyone.
BTW,thanks a lot for that, that'll give Rob the points lead instead of us being tied. :\

I have been upset with ai cars before, or a plain ol bad run on my part, but to have that crap happen when I was having a really good run just blows. The ai cars were spaced far enough from me I had clean laps, I was making nice consistant lap times, I tell ya man, I have never been that pissed at any game. 50 seconds for that pit stop killed me! I really had an excellent shot at the podium this week, and to lose that because of a game glitch really sucks ass!.

I've had that kinda stuff happen in practice but fortunately nothing that bad while online. On that second run of mine, when I pulled in the pit the yellow circle showed up and I hit the fuel button. Glanced at the time/lap count and looked back down and it hadn't refueled and had to hit it again. That may have been the difference between my second place and getting first.
I try to remember it's just a game but glitches REALLY torque me off too!

Atleast your not last Joe! :hehe:
