Lloyd already posted up more laps than I can come close to...I'm in deep doo doo this week!

Lloyd improved his lap count by 2 on his second run.

This is going to be interesting.

yes,yes it is

I was going to put a run in tonight but it won't let me log on from the game. I can go to the site and check the club page through my browser but it says it can't find the host when trying to race. Anyone else else having problems?

Round 2 - Tamiya Kakegewa

The checkered flag has flown on Round 2,our first road course at Tamiya Kakegewa. As could be expected, experience prevailed here. robmob took the early lead over Racer 1966 and never looked back. Both racers had problems with their first pit stops but somehow rombob manages to conserve fuel yet be fast and get by with only 1 stop! It was enough to hold off the late charge from Racer 1966 and ending up with a 1 lap advantage at the checkered flag. Along the way robmob also pulls off the fastest lap of the race.

While trying to catch robmob,Racer 1966 also had a battle to hold off rookie driver SMaxxin. Smaxxin adapted quickly to this track and put up a fight for the second spot. A bad decision late in the race caused him to drop back and almost handed 3rd place to NCNitro. In the end though the 3rd podium position goes to SMaxxin in only his second ever VRC race with NCNitro in 4th,only 12 seconds behind.

At the back of the pack, the other rookie drivers slowngreen and abadk9420 struggled to figure out their set up and just couldn't keep up the lead pace. At the finish, slowngreen bested abadk9420 by 3 laps.
Both racers are new to the road course but gained some valuable experience to carry over to the next race.

In the points, the lead changes. robmob goes from a 1 point deficit in second to a 2 point lead over Racer 1966. NCNitro holds on to 3rd but only 1 point separates the rest of the pack.

The next race in the series is Luxembourg. The green flag is out,Race On!

I had a great practice run and was jazzed to log a race.

Unfortunately, I also can't seem to log in through the game either.

I am actually glad that you can't either Randy. Now I know it has to be a VRC issue.

Just checked and all is good now.

Hopefully I can get a run in later this evening.

I got a run in. Not happy with it. I was loose the entire time and really had to baby it out of every turn. Not sure why it is so different from practice.

Damn dude, 150 laps!

I could not make a run at your fast lap. When I pushed the car, it would break loose.

Nothing at all like in practice.

Holy crap that was bad! I just can't get going on the road courses :\. I was punted all over the track by the damn ai cars, to the point I was getting angry at them like there was a real person driving them. My lap times suck, it's funny how much slower the cars are when the rubber side is up, or you are mowing the grass, lol. I may just start running on the ovals, and work on my car for those, this is getting beyond frustrating.

What type of problems are you having with the car?

The two biggest things to help me when I first started was to unlock the rear diff and add a lot of brake pressure. I always tried to run way deep into the corners.

You know Randy, to be honest I really don't know what I am doing wrong, or if I just totally suck on road courses. I spend more time in the grass, and getting punted around by the ai cars due to the fact I am running the slow ass engine and can never seem to stay away from them. I really don't know what to do at this point, but it is getting quite frustrating.

That's definitely frustrating, but with out some info I can't offer much help. Have you tried moving up a bit on the engine power? I found the low power engine to be a pain after 1 or 2 races so I upped the power and practiced a LOT. I messed with a lot of settings, not always knowing what each one did, just hoping to stumble on to something I can drive.

Hang in there buddy! :) I'm out for the night, gotta work tomorrow.

You're gonna have to run again Rob. Got ya by 12sec and a fast lap of 17.2

I made changes on the car to keep it more stable. Not looking for the fast lap, but consistent laps in the 18's. That worked fine, but then I booted a handful of laps and dropped to 49 laps.

I got pissed and just ran again against my better judgment. Once again I could not run a clean race. At least I managed to get back to 50.

I spent over an entire season in your shoes. Best thing you can do is suck it up and keep running. Put in 3 runs on every course. What you are looking for is improvement in every run. When the AI's come up on you, let them pass so they don't hack you.

I have emailed you all of my on-road track setups to try. You never know, one may actually work for you.

I just looked at your run. Not bad considering you are using the slow engine. Not that far off Pete who is clearly no using the slow engine.

Increase the engine, header and pipe and give it a go. Track is actually too big for the slow engine anyway.

Give mine a try as well.

I got last place locked up so what ever you do don't DNF...or have the power go out on you. Being that I won't have a score this week I will brag that while making set up changes during practice I ran a 16.8!
