Welcome aboard, Joe. As far as I know there aren't a ton of differences in the performance of each of the chassis'. There are some different adjustments but I think they're all even on the track. It's just about setup. One thing I did at first was to poach setups off the VRC website. Just pull up the track that you're running and there will be a few setups uploaded by other racers. Just click on the setup. download it and put it in your VRC setup folder. Then you can access it from in-game and see what you think.

How long into the run are you when it starts? If you're making long runs on the Speedway, the tire wear is uneven and the right side tires wear faster. Eventually you end up with reverse stagger (outside tires smaller than inside) and that starts pulling the car to the right....

Sometimes it there from the start,sometimes 50(give or take) laps in.

Thanks Randy. I have been practicing a good bit today, I am VERY inconsistant though. I will have a few laps in the 7s then really mess up, 9s, 10s, 12s, or worse, lol, then back to low 8s or 7s, then back up again. I did get one lap in at 6.9

I was able to open them in my email, but I couldn't figure out what to do with them from there. So I have just been playing with some adjustments on my own. Like I said, I have no hopes of anything for whats left of this season other than to learn all I can, get some good set ups and practice in so that maybe next season I will be a contender.

If you save them to the proper folder you should be able to find them when the prompt box comes up when you want to load a setup.

Joe,the folder you need should be in My Documents/ Virtual RC Racing/Car Setup. There's a folder for VRC in the Program files and a subfolder for car setup there too, but the add-ins don't show up there.

I may just run what I have now for this week, since I am just learning and this will be my first try at this thing.

I am not sure how this all works, but I was just on the site, and it said round 1 has to be completed by 11:57 Aug 1st. I thought you had three chances, but if you were happy with a run that you shouldnt run the next run. So should I make my first try before 11:57 tomorrow to see how I do? I also saw one racer was entered, does that mean one person has made their first run? Can we see who and what times and laps they ran? I'm so confused, lol.

Um.. I just double checked the times and it should be open until 2:00 Monday morning (EST).

Something weird is going on with the site this year. I see it too Joe. 1 person is entered but it does not show who it is and their run(s). Generally, it does.

The 1 person is you Joe. When you first sign up for the clup you're automatically entered in the first race. Being entered doesn't mean you made a run though.

When someone makes a run, you can go the VRC webpage,click the clubs link,scroll down the list to the Club VRCNT club and click on it. It'll show you who's run and their tentative finish position and points . You can click the detailed view link and see thier laps and total time then click on the time and it'll show the break down of each lap.

I was just practicing with cars on the track for the first time, TOTALLY different than running solo.

It's not really, you just have to ignore them. The speeds of the AI cars are setup to challenge the faster guys. I think they are actually set too fast by a hair but I can adjust that the next road race. If you just let them go by you'll save yourself a lot of headache. Of course that's easier said than done if you're new.

Yes you will.

Just load your saved setup when it's time to race just like in practice.

It's video game Joe, they get away with everything! Yes you can use the same car/setup for the race.
