Oval mark is now at 66 laps.

Should have been 67 but I looked at the time left and over shot the turn scrubbing the wall.

Good run,I don't think you would have hit 67 though, the slow lap was only 4 sec off and your time is 5 sec past the mark.

If I had stayed clean I could hit 67 but I had a wipe out early and messed up the pit entrance then those 2 brushes with the AI's later. At least 11 sec there - but that's why we race,I didn't stay clean. No 6.7's like I did in practice either :\

I put my first in. Not sure if I'll try again or not. I havn't touched the road course yet. I found a good tenth in practice by adding a boatload of caster. Obviously I've been losing time entering T1. That's where I have the hardest time racing the AI's. Actually I DON'T race the AI's there. I always let 'em go and blow past them exiting T2. Problem is, it's killing my tires. Setup is only good for a short run.

GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR.... Is it just me or are the AI slow as hell now? I HATE IT! They killed me every damn run on speedway.

Sorry to keep asking for help but can one of you help me on a setup for hemsteede?

I think rob slowed down the AIs at all races. I feel like the AIs are ALWAYS slow at RCS though. I wish their speeds varied a little more but its a part of racing. Getting past slow cars while losing as little time as possible is an art.

You have PM bro.

LOL

AI's have been slowed as the grips drop and will vary wildly from now on to keep it challenging since we are running a separate oval series.

Thanks to Josh for the suggestion.

It's only been one race, but I really like the fact that you actually have to drive your car around the track now.

Learn where on the track to pass and what line you need to be on and you will stay away from the AI's. In my 2nd run I only tapped one of them the entire race. Totally my fault. I can tell you that turns 1 and 2 are not where you want to be passing. You can set them up there and power out and past them exiting turn 2. Staying tight on turns 3 and 4 is a also a great passing line.

I am using the Winter Series and the short Spring Series as test beds for AI speeds for both the oval and road courses so everyone be sure to voice their opinions. I will take them all under advisement for the '11 Championship.:D

I'm finding that the more accurate my driving gets the more I realize how intelligent the AI's actually are. I'm finding that I can pass a car pretty much anywhere but that doesn't mean you can do a bonzai into T1 and not expect the outside car to clip you if you wash wide. If I'm pressed to get by a car into T1 I'll only attempt the outbrake if I'm dead even with it on the straight. If I wash up the track he'll run into me (which is my fault), but If I get slowed enough to hug the apron he'll let me in.

.242

Can I live with that or should I just let it go?

Gain .2 for the win or lose 2.0 for 3rd place. Tight margin there.

I think you can probably beat it. I guess the bigger question is will you be right back in the same spot by the time it's all over?? :)

I did a practice run on hemsteede today standing up and did way better. I was able to stay pretty consistant in the 20's. I'm able to get some throttle control this way.

I started resting my controller at an angle on my lap insted of holding up. It has helped tremendously on my wrist fatigue which equates into more consistancy as well I figure.

If you want to chat about setup I'm available on FB.

Well I didnt come close to touching Randy's run on Hamsteed but I improved my first. I try my best to get the fast lap everytime on road course and that might not help me either cuz I mess up alot in the process, then Randy is usually still alittle faster......jerk

I guess I should practice a little on Heemstede and put in a run.

Bah. Going to put in a few hours on Black Ops online instead. LOL

Threw a couple of runs in on Heemstede.

My first run barely edged our Randy, but I ran again anyway since I knew I could do better and I want to get back get more Black Ops in tonight.. Not bad for zero practice. The pit entrance sucks BTW.
