Hey everyone, I was thinking about buying a new or used RC10T4 to put my mamba system in. I was wondering the difference between the FT version and the regular version. Its mainly going to be run at parking lot races so I'm going to need a road tire setup for it.

If anyone has a roller for sale please let me know I'm very interested.

The factory Team version has several $$$$ worth of upgrades for only a little more money as is deffintly worth it, If you are intrested I am selling my T3FT that is ready to drive along with another complete rolling chassis T3FT several sets of tires and wheels 4 batteries a Novak charger some extra parts and bodies when i added it all up I had over $1400 dollars invested in it and I am asking $400 I don't play with it any more and want more stuff for my E Maxx...

Man that's a hell of a bargain. Alx, since you're going to be adding your own mamba system, I would get the Factory Team kit. It has sever other upgrades, and since you don't need the electronics anyway, seems like the way to go. I have the RTR version and it is a very capable truck right out of the box. I was surprised at the parts, such as stock aluminum shock bodies, stuff like that. I read on the associated site that the team kit and RTR are about 95% the same. The team kit has some graphite parts that are lighter, but a lot of people choose to go with the plastic chassis because it's so much more durable. I think the shock towers are more durable on the RTR as well but I may be wrong on that.

You know you can get a factory refurbished T4 on the rc10.com website for a GREAT bargain. I bought mine from the LHS since I will be racing there and buying a lot of parts there, I wanted to get the relationship devoloped, but if it wouldn't have been for that, I would have gotten a refurb. None of the stuff is used. Like if a customer buys a truck and say a shock is broken in shipping, the hobby shop send it back, Associated has a team of guys that go through the truck and check it out and do a fierce quality control check, and then they sell it as refurb. Sometimes it something as minor as the spare parts not being in the box or something, so they check it over add the parts and sell it as a refurb.

Here's a link http://rc10.com/misc/internet_specials.htm

They only have the RC10T4 Race Spec listed now and it's 189, but they're inventory is constantly being updated.

Thanks guys. Would a 7700 mamba be too much for this? And what about a street setup, would it be capable on the street?

I think it could be set up to be very capable on the street. When I got mine, I took it out on the street right out of the box, and it handled GREAT. I couldn't believe the way this thing was sticking to the road and taking curves, because it had the stock suspension settings and off road tires. I think the 7700 Mamba would be fine since you already have it. You can use the castle-link programmer to tune it down a notch if it's over powered. If it's too much power, you could keep your same ESC and run like a 5700 kv castle motor. Also, it will depend on the batteries. If it's too powerful with Lipo, you could switch to nimh and see how that does.
