So here’s my GT that’s been sitting forever and a few years more. There is only a small hobby store near me that only carries Redcat and electric parts. The next closest is Green Bay and that’s 3 hours away…. What site do you all trust for shipping fuel and parts? If shipping fuels and things are going to be an issue I’ll probably sell and find something electric.

Thanks! She was a dirty girl lol. I didn’t break it down yet but a general knock the dust off. Carb doesn’t seem to gummed up but will give it a cleaning before trying to run.

Man that's sweet! Fleabay is probably the only place to find vintage parts, but they did just re-release the older RC10 stuff, and I am guessing those parts fit the old ones. I can't help you as far as fuel, but there are guys here that can point you in the right direction

Bones Motorsports if running VP Fuel, and www.NitroProRacing.com if running NitroPro.

Fuel is something I buy from the best distributors, and don’t base my parts purchases off of them. Glow plugs, I only buy OS, and in bulk on eBay to keep the price-per-plug as low as possible.. You’re GONNA use them lol..

For parts support, and wheels/tires, I use Amain, Fierce RC Solutions, Absolute Hobbyz, Beach RC, and Liquid RC, almost exclusively-unless they’re uber hard to find vintage stuff, then use Eliminator-RC, DMS Racing, and a few others..

Good luck, and HAVE FUN!! 🍻🤘

Thanks everyone, I just got the piston moving it was gummed up but not horrible. Electrical I think is shot. Can’t get it to respond :( that was the only part I wasn’t planning on buying. I figured motor and other drive parts would be shot.

For fuel, I like torco, they'll ship 1 gallon for ~$60 which is as good a deal as I can find anywhere now, both their car 30% and plane 15% have been easy to tune and smooth-running.

Make sure you're not getting counterfeit OS plugs on eBay, I've tried reporting the listings I do see. They'll price them only a few cents cheaper so they show up first in listings, but they're not so cheap it's "obvious"

The most obvious giveaway is an italicized url for the os website on the packaging.

I think some of the counterfeit sellers are getting smart about this and posting pics of all-legit glow plug packaging, then shipping the fakes. You can buy the fakes on AliExpress for $4.50 each.

I only buy glow plugs straight from brand-name retailers because of this, it's especially offensive to me that by buying the counterfeit you're also costing OS crucial ongoing sales in a very tight market, and getting an inferior product for most of the cost of the genuine article.

Glow plugs are <1% of the cost of the hobby to me, when I was running surface nitros I'd replace one every few weeks, but in planes they last months.

Nothing to worry about here.. I know my plugs, and only purchase from reputable sellers. I’m not buying $5 plugs lol.. Been doing it for over 20yrs.. My “cheap” plugs come from Bones Motorsports, and are Italian OS copies, but not counterfeit.

Thank you for the heads up. Rebranding inferior products under legit product names is devastating. I run a small business so I have been approached by so called “whole sale” companies that consist of mainly out dated or inferior products. I always check the sellers of flea bay but sometimes they look legit, I would have never noticed the font difference… good eye lol. Thank you again
