My new Neo 4.0 arrived! Lack of Kyosho parts support in future?

got my Neo 4.0 in! For those wondering the 3.0 and 4.0 body are completely different. They are not interchangeable.

I'm going to get a Neo 4.0 VE body and lay my nitro 4.0 body over it and trace out the holes on and see if that will work. Kyosho doesn’t seem to offer clear bodies for the nitro 4.0 but in their parts manual the body part number is the same for both electric and nitro models. It’s getting pretty annoying to have zero support or parts accessibility from Kyosho. Why make a buggy you aren’t going to support?

Seems like all they care about is the MP11 at this point. I get the Mp10 platform/ design is like 15 years old so you’re moving onto your latest and greatest but why not offer another RTR that’s based off your new MP11 at the same time of release?

I'm going to a Tekno NB48 2.2 soon so it’s not a huge deal but my concern is if parts break or wear on my Neo 4.0 parts may get increasingly hard to find with the discontinuation of a lot of Kyoshos stuff.

Correct that’s the one I ordered but the VE is the electric model so the holes are not cut out

Cutting holes is part of fitting a body to a chassis.
This is the body that Kyosho recommends for a nitro car as well and is most certainly not discontinued.

What lack of future support are you talking about?

The neo is the mp7.5.
Its been supported for literally 26 years now.
Your not gonna have a hard time finding anything for it for a very darn long time.

They did a few things to cheapen the mp7.5 and turn it into the neo.

2 spider gear diffs instead of 4.
Plastic spur (terrible idea)
Plastic shocks
Junk clutch

Thats a few of the things.

They are good buggies though. I've got the "3.0". I know a few guys that have upgraded them to mp7.5 spec and raced club level with them.
