RC Radios with Telemetry

Seems everyone has TELEMETRY these days including TRAXXAS, FUTABA, SPEKTRUM, SANWA/AIRTRONICS, ETRONIX, ABSIMA, etc. Trouble is that the info needed to implement this fascinating tech is sparse unclear and often incomplete. I have some sensors and gear from SPEKTRUM ( DX-18, DX-5PRO ) and TRAXXAS ( 6507 ) My local hobby shop has some attractive deals on FUTABA'S 3PV system. Anyone have experience with this stuff? As a sciences teacher Emeritus. I used interfaces/sensors/data analysis from https://www.vernier.com . Would like to more in the way of melding VERNIER with my RC. Would like to go as far as building remote sensing systems like those used to explore MARS. An exploration/data collection & analysis competition using the above might be exciting. While I have a SPEKTRUM DX-5PRO, several people have told me that the comparably priced FUTABA 4PV is better built, more reliable, has more sophisticated control and telemetry options, better servos, and better control latency specs. Anyone out there know about these issues? Thank you !

Thanks ! Now, a tangential question. Yesterday I purchased from my local Waverly, IA hobby shop a RACERS EDGE GNSS PRO1000/GSM020 Performance Analyzer. It seemed to be well made, charged up OK, and pre-use check out went well. PROBLEM- when I went to download the app so I could use it was forced to apply for an account and give RE access to my tablet with a non-related app ! Am livid. Anyone know how to go to ANDROID PLAY STORE and get an appropriate app to run my PRO1OOO ? Thank you !
