Hi, guys,

I would like to share a concept with you. For example, let's say the RC nitro engine's RPM is 20000, but when it is moving, the RPM will be only 5000 rpm.

So, if we can have a device, let's call it RC Nitro Engine Trasmission device. When the racing car is moving, with this device, the RRM can be increased to more than 15000 rpm.

I am wondering if this idea can work out, and if you have any idea. Please share it with me.

the only way to do so is get a 1:1 gear ratio, wich is about what 4th gear on a five speed car is . try taking off in that gear lol. say good by to the awsome wheelies. it is possible to make 3,4,or even 5 speed trannys for these cars, but would need alot of room to run through the gears.

dont know if this is possible, with my truck it has a 2 speed tranny and its adjustable so when it revs to a certain rpm it changes gear.

Nitro engines don't have much torque at lower RPM's. That's why many heavier rigs run multi-speed transmissions. Gearing an engine too tall has side effects of hard to tune, burnt up clutch and can be generally irritating.

The same can be said for gearing too short. But then you run the risk of blowing the engine more than anything else.
