there was a socalrc,, rcshortcourse, shortcourserc, rcnightmare, ultimaterc, that monster truck one i can't remember the name of. that one that merged with rcuniverse (ok that ones a stretch it was over 20 years ago) pretty much every RC magazine that's existed in the last 30 years has had a forum. all gone.

The people or company that owns it is very uninvolved from what I recall.
Yep, sadly that's the case from what I understand. I don't even remember how I found the place a LONG time ago, and built up my first TLT axled crawler. Really hoping it comes back again.

Yep, I keep hearing that social media is where everyone goes now. Good luck searching Fakebook for a how to on most anything for a niche of the RC hobby. I don't hate social media, but forums are still a very valuable tool at our disposal, for now.

It sucks because forums have so much more information than facebook groups, but facebook pretty much killed the forums

I must be a dinosaur. 🦖
Other than a link landing me on something like a restaurants page, I've never been on Facebook in my life.

Rcmt.net?

Did the site go away? I can hang around here I guess....😇
I'm getting the same error message too. Most interesting🤔 Yeah I kinda settled in here too😉 somewhere at an earlier time someone said go over to rccrawler...they really know their stuff over there... And I'd like to believe that's right.
However:
I tried to create an account and I think I've got a login somewhere. I never got any verification email or any further correspondence really. I wonder if my password is wrote down anywhere? Good luck getting it reset if it isn't 😏
I looked multiple times for a search feature. Must have missed it somewhere or had to be logged in.
Can't go there on my phone browser for some reason.
When I browsed on the newest messages seemed like a bunch that didn't suffer fools well. I was somewhat intimidated to post.

I'd say that the admin and then the help staff plays a big part😊this place seems alive and well 🤩 and welcoming...! Might be a bit different crowd that's not quite as focused on just crawlers 🤷🏻‍♂️ but I've since got the itch to get a plane or a speed runner of some kind now too 😛 it's a crowd of enablers here😂😂😂

Is ECX Forum still alive?

I think it's slow there. Approaching dead. Ecx is no longer.
Yeah, I encountered that issue when they discontinued the 1/18 ECX Ruckus. Their famous plastic diff soup materialized in both of my diffs, turning it from 4WD into no wheel drive. There wasn't a lot of parts available, and the ones that were still in the package were too expensive. I'm getting an ARRMA Outcast 4S this summer, but I don't currently have any running cars.
