I think you're right , the slash is on sale as well . In fact, they are both priced the same , I think $399 , at the LHS . I was in there today and compared to with the input from the salesperson , and he suggested for my needs or wants , the slash would be better for grass and dirt , and the wrestler would be better for hard services . The slash sits up a bit higher , and has more off-road type tires for the type of driving I prefer. Both seem like great RCs , but I'm thinking it over for a day or two until I get my iRS check . I think the Rustler is faster than the Slash , but I'm not into going over 50 miles per hour . When I was into RC planes , I always like the slow floaters with a four-stroke engine on them , they would sit almost still in the air with the right amount of wind . I could actually float it right in front of me or anybody , so I enjoy the art of flying , as well as just having fun with an RC truck . I don't think I would race it down the road real fast , that's just something I don't want to do . Either truck would be great, but I think the Slash fits my discipline a little better .
