I got it but I left it at work. lol I gotta have something to do there, otherwise it would just be boring old work. I'll go by and get it tomorrow though if no one else chimes in.

I've been eyeballing that radio since it showed up on tower last year... I'd much prefer it over the spectrum/losi derivative... Pretty much only due to the screen the MX has.

I mentioned that at my LHS last weekend and my LHS guy (one I actually listen to for advise) said I could buy it, but airtronics has been not doing so well. HobbyPeople is their primary distributer now. So support for it may become expensive soon (as it kind of is already with $90 receivers which I need a total of 3).

I have the MX3 FM and I really like how the screen tells you so much all the time. Most other medium grade radios only tell you one thing at a time and you have to scroll through menus to see stuff. The airtronics one shows 5 things all the time, t/b trim, steer trim, battery fuel tank, model number and one selectable in the center. Which really made me like the MX-3 FHSS.

Just food for thought...

Now that Spectrum has a nice pistol grip radio out (DX3R), I may save my nickles/dimes and get it. It's pricey too, but it's nice and has a screen that says a bunch of stuff like I like. And, if you buy a extra receiver (@$100), you get a 3rd for free.

Considering my needs, I would probably end up with the DX3R, $300+$100 for the radio/receiver and two more receivers. Vs the MX-3FHSS, $180 + $80 + $80 for the radio+2 extra receivers. Sure, it's $40 cheaper still, but it's newer tech and a newer designed radio that feels really good in your hand and is considerably lighter due to using 4 cells vs 8. It also has a few more features that the MX doesn't have.

For your needs, the MX3FHSS may fit the bill. Just helping you make your decision.

 I was already pretty set on getting the MX-3, was just looking for a few more reviews before I spent all my money on it.

My neighbor Brian recently got a DX3r and it is indeed pretty nice. It's really light and the screen is pretty cool, as well as having menus that are very easy to navigate. I'm just not willing to spend over 300 dollars on a radio, even if it is really nice. This one suits my needs well and I doubt I will need a new reciever for it any time soon. I may be purchasing a new RC this summer after I get a job but that's about it.

If I only had one rig and was only going to have one rig, then I'd probably go that route as well. But, since I have 3, I'll spend over $300 either way... so it's a tougher decision for me.

Yep. I was looking at Futaba but kept coming back to the Airtronics because I liked the looks. Plus, who can beat the 18 model memory :D

Well the new 4PK has 40 model memory. Wow, just think, one day I will have 40 RC's. mmmmm heaven on earth!

I didn't realize you said 2007, I have the 2008 issue and I'll tell you what they say about it in that one.

So did they review it at all? Like any ratings or anything? I'm thinking of something like the Consumer Reports buyer's guide.
