I woke up this morning with an idea on the steering. I was thinking of using a push-pull cable mounted to a center connection with links running out of both ends,To look like a hyd. steering cylinder. What do you guys think? I've not seen one set up like that yet. It will solve all the bump steer & I can make the cable casing look like the hyd. pressure line. Maybe it will start a trend in the scale group.

sounds like a good idea, hopefully it will work, yeah if u start a trend then maybe u can produce them and make some $$$$ off of them...

OK, I think I got this set now. More pics...

I don't care about making money off of it,Just helping others will be enough. Maybe we can call it the Radron steering mod. LOL!!

The nice thing about it is you can mount your servo where ever you want & still have any suspension set-up you want too.

I'm going to look for a control cable for R/C airplanes & see what I can come up with.

When & if I get it working I'll start a build tread on it for others to use.

Back to my build. Last night I found an old R/C Ferrari of my son's & robbed a few things off of it for the interior of my bronco..... set of bucket seats, console, dash board, steering wheel, rearview mirrors, etc. I'll see how they fit & look when I get the body. I went to order the Recarro seats & they were back ordered,so maybe these seats will work until I get them.

looks really good ron, what motor are you using??? how u like that bud light lime, i love it.

Oh Man, That Bud Lime with a little Clamato, All I can say is blurred vision!!LOL!! So if you want to beat me at a comp, just show up with a 12 of Bud Lime & a bottle of Clamato & it's a sure thing LOL!!!!!

I'm running the Integy 55t Lathe now. With the heavy rig, I may go to the Holmes handwound 45t.

The 55t in my comp rigs really pulls & has descent wheel speed on the 11.1v lipo!

so did u end up going with the bronco body?

Yea, I think so, I probably order it next week. I've got a Hummer body I pulled off of one of my son's old R/C's, but it's way heavy.

my brother bought a r/c truck from radio shack like 7 years ago or something and it had a 81-83 toyota pickup body on it, would have been perfect, well maybe not to light.

Those are popular bodies for scalers, maybe you have something to work on in the future.

yeah lol maybe, i dont think he would part with it though, I'm not even sure that he's ever driven it he's just a toyota man so he bought it, although i have been wanting to make a scaler just for the details part but from all the vids I've seen of them they dont look near as fun since they lack the abilities of a crawler but then again i wasn't sure that i would like crawling and now THATS ALL I THINK ABOUT...

^^^u do have it bad ron lol, any updates on your scaler???

I'm going to start brazing the bumpers up tonight, if I can get some time.Should have more pics in the next couple of days. Been kinda buzy lately.

How bad have I got it??? I'm at the track running the races & I'm checking the forums in between rounds LOL!!

That's sweet music to my ears. When you start thinking about buying a new phone just so that you can check the rock crawling section while you're on the go, or if you buy a PSP just so you can keep up with the forums while your at the hospital waiting on Mom to come out of surgery, you know you've got it bad.

lol no doubt charlie, i always wonder whats going on here when I'm at work lol...i look forward to the new pics ron, u have done a killer job so far so I'm sure the rest will be awesome.

Thanks, I've got the basics of the bumpers done & started on the interior(will have pics soon!) I'll start the cage as soon as the body (bronco)gets
here.
