i just bought another truck with out a receiver and remote.

i got this one for my brother to use instead of him breaking my truck again.

the first truck has a 27mhz am 2channel receiver and a losi ctx-1000 remote.

what should i get for the new truck? will another 27mhz system work if trying to run both trucks or will the signals jack with eachother? kinda lost on how this works.

Any radio will work fine but you will need to have a different set of crystals in it. What are the last 3 numbers on the crystal? There are several 27.XXX mhz crystals out there.
Did you have a price range in mind?

the crystal in the remote i already have reads 26.995tx. i have around $60 left to spend so not looking for anything fancy. will i just need to get one with a diffrent type crystal?

yes, that will be all you need. Check the forums, if you can scrape together another $15 you can probably get a stock traxxas 2.4 radio or a stock losi 2.4 radio. Greater range and no more crystals to worry about.

awesome. do hobby stores carry these crystals? thanks for the help by the way.

Most any hobby shop will carry crystals. You may want to ask them if they have any stock radios laying around. I know one of my local stores has a bin where people who run their own radio can put the stock radios from the new cars they buy. I wouldn't pay more than $40 for a brand new Am setup.

Post in the wanted section here and you may get a nice deal.
