Hey guys, so I got this truggy. And when I turn on car and radio they work fine, they have brand new batteries. After it's running and this is the weird part it wi'll just stop like it's ran to farvfrom range butt it's right beside me. Any help appreciated.

check your antenna wire for breaks. are you using a 2.4 system? or an Am system?

If you have a switch, try bypassing it and plug your batter directly into the receiver. Could be the switch is worn/dirty and engine vibration could be causing it to cut out intermittently. I would also unplug/replug in all connections on the receiver a few time and do the same with the crystal just to work off any corrosion that may have built up.

You running AA's or a receiver pack?

AA's would like to get a receiver pack but not sure what I'm even looking for really. :S

A lot of truggies take a hump type pack. I'd recommend a capacity of at least 1600 mAH to last a while between charges. I'd also recommend a fail-safe for your rig if you continue to run an old style AM radio.

Well I was looking at 2.4ghz will anyone work? Also will any hump pack work?

If your truggy is designed to take a hump pack then yes they are all the same. Some kits use a flat pack but most use a hump pack. You can get some decent 1600mAh ones off of ebay for about 13-16 bucks.

For a 2.4GHz TX/RX if you're just a basher Id recommend the Flysky GT3B from HobbyPartz.com. Its only $40 for the TX and 1 RX.

Its great for a budget setup. Be sure and check out some of the awesome mods you can do to it later when you get the chance. I have a couple how to vids on my youtube channel but there are others you can do as well.

$13 bucks on eBay.

You'll probably also want to pick up one of THESE to use with it incase you forget to turn it off, your lipo wont get drained to low.

Here is my video on how to mod it to use LiPos.
