Radio system upgrade

I want to change my TQ3 system to the New Traxxas Link TQi 2ch 2.4ghz 6509 Radio & 5 Channel Link 6518 Receiver. only,I don't want to use the docking for the iPod with the App.Will it be a simple change out?I do have the PTI box for reverse,which I do not have to have,but would like to keep if possible.Thanks

I think the docking base is sold seperately anyways isnt it? So it wouldnt be something you had to have unless you wanted it. But I dont think it will work for you because its only a two channel, you need a 3 channel 2 pos switch to operate your reverse assuming thats how you use it now? With the stock tq3 switch right?

Yeah. Do you already have it? If not, theres other radios in that price range that will work with your reverse.

I didnt see that they made a 3ch version of it, if you can get it, then it will work for you with your reverse.
