Since I run my r/cs a lot, I am wanting to go to rechargable batteries everywhere. So, if the rechargable batteries are 1.2v instead if 1.5v like the alkalines, will the lower voltage result in a lower range for the transmitter?
Thanks in advance for any help.

No, they do provide a more consistent voltage over use where regular alkaline batteries start to drop and consistently drop off. I'm running a lipo pack in my Nomadio and I've yet to see the voltage move throughout an entire race day running two classes.

Thanks for that info JetMech, but maybe my wording was unclear. What I meant by range is distance. Will it shorten the distamce you can drive before it quits responding to the transmitter signals?

I haven't noticed a distance change. I've been running the same 8 radio shack 2000Mah NiMH cells in my radio for about 5 years. I charge them to 11.1v-11.3v and go out for a weekend of bashing. Around 11.1v is when they get barely warm.
