hi guys i recently got into 1/12 scale pan cars and am in need of a competition lvl charger. so far I'm undecided between 2 chargers

1.http://duratrax.com/caraccys/dtxp4170.html (chargers lipo batterys)
or
2.http://magmarc.com/pages/catalog/aps.asp (motor dyno)

duratraxx charger would be great because of the ability to charge lipo battery as well. (have a mini-t and electric plane) that could use this but i was told that the aps racing charger is better (that big of a diff between the 2?) dont know enough about electrics because i have been out of the scene for about 17 years lol
can someone please shed some light on this for me? please checkout the stats between the 2 and help me decide on which one is better. the duratraxx goes for about 225 here and the aps unit sells for 260 but i can get the aps charger for 200 through a friend from a lhs. any and all suggestions are appreciated and if theres another charger in that ballpark that you think is better please let me know I'm all ears.. thanks
heres a few pics of my ride:)
EDIT: these are the batterys i plan on running

also anyone know where i can get the same matched cells @ a better price? know ebay is prob the best place but never hurts to ask..

to be honest the best charger for what you are doing would be the LRP Pulsar Comp. 2 from Towerhobbies http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHWZ1&P=7

The list is $169.99 so make sure you use the $25 off coupon. The charger is rated the favorite of racers for several years in a row. I have 2 LRP Pulsar Comps and they have never failed me once. With the money you save you can still get a great Li-poly charger here http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCJG7&P=7 and if you buy a couple more items you can use the $25 off coupon again.

I will second the motion on that Pulsar2 Competition. I use that one for my 1/12 as well. I also got the new Magma charger. Geat charger, also has a dyno feature for the motors. Both go for about 160+

cool looks like the Pulsar2 Competition is the one for me, thanks for your replys!!

Don't forget that you will need a 12V powersupply if you want to use it with 110V.

Get a higher amp power supply suggested 30amp so you will be able to run other elec like comm lathe,truer,2 chargers

yeah I run 2 LRP Comps off my Victor 12amp power supply with no problem whatsoever.
