Some.

Personally, I think the biggest problem is the driver.

I look at it like this. The driver has to be able to communicate to the crew chief what he does or does not like about how the car handles. Those two just are not on the same page. Unforunately, he's pretty much all Jr.'s ever known. That's a major downfall. Hopefuly for him he can click with somebody and start putting together some good runs. However, if he lacks ability to analyze the car well, it won't matter how good the crew chief is or how in tune he is to Jr.'s analysis. If the analysis is bad, the correction will be bad. I tend to feel Jr. is an above average driver with less than steller corrective abilities.

I think Tony Jr was a security blanket for Jr. I think Jr got real used to Tony Jr just taking his sh@% and not saying anything to him. I think this could be good for Jr. I hope.

Today was a decent day I think. I listened to Jr's scanner and he was calm collected and gave what I think was good information. I will take a 12th place finish over 40th any day of the week the wya things have been going for that bunch. I think Jr will get things turned around. I will even go as far as to say that he will even win a race or two this year.... starting with Daytona in July!

And just for the record... Tony Jr was not released, he is in R&D for Hendrick. He was just simply removed as crew chief. I think this will all work in the end.

So you guys have probably already heard about the "shoot-out" style restarts beginning this weekend at Pocono. I'm VERY excited about that. I think it'll make the racing more enjoyable from a fans perspective.

On an F1 note, F1.com just released 17 new videos. Full lap vids from last year and this season thus far. pretty cool

He's a douche. I think he gets off being the bad boy now. Whatever. Unfortunately everyone on his teams will keep buying into it. I'm really surprised that Joe Gibbs puts up with that poop. He's a pretty straightforward guy about the behavior of the people who work for him and I'm sure he's getting pretty fed up.

I think he is nothing but a black eye to the sport. His crappy personality and cry baby attitude when he doesn't win overshadows his driving ability imo. This stunt was just the icing on the cake in proving that he is a real peepee head.

I think the idea was cool but it wasn't planned out very well. If there was a prop guitar everybody would be talking about how cool his victory lane celebration was. Unfortunately, he destroyed the trophy. Dumbass.

Yes I think KB is a dumbass... damn nice trophy that is no more.

So what did you guys think of the fuel millage win for Mark the kid Martin? Damn... guys, that 3 wins this year... tops at Hendrick. Who'd of thunk it?

I was pretty happy with Jr this weekend. I think it is just going to take some time for the competitivness to return to that team. He is taking baby steps and although he finished 14th this weekend, I think it was a small victory for those guys. He started 30th. Sadly... he will not make the chase... unless we believe in miracles... but maybe they can just concentrate on making that team better and maybe even getting a win.... I still think he can win Daytona or Richmond this year. Anyway... I don't think Jr is done. I think he still wants to win and I think Hendrick will make sure that happens.

Michigan always seems to end up being a fuel mileage race, but I was glad to see Mark get his third of the year. I would love to see him win the championship this year. He is a class act, and is long overdue to finally win one.

I was even happier to see Joey Lagano beat Kyle Puss in the NNS series last night.:D

Sorry, Tom, but Jr. really needs help. I'm hoping the Chief swap will help. It seems to be showing signs, but he's been so used to his system for so long that it might take a bit. He does seem more upbeat and more comfortable in the car. But it's going to take a bit to really iron out the in-race changes and stuff. I keep my fingers crossed because I like him. But I think his program is really in a bit of chaos right now. I hope he gets a good win this year to at least vindicate himself a bit.

On another note, my GF and I were laughing our asses off when Jimmy ran out of gas. And then Biff. It was great. Jeff got the bump to 2nd after starting 43rd. Awesome day for him. Hell, Mark was dry coming across the line. 1 more lap and Jeff would have had the win. But great day for Mark. Great day for Jeff. Right now Mark has a serious run for a championship going. He's got as many wins as Puss so that'll put him up near the top when they reset. I'm stoked. I'd love to see him win a championship. The only other guy that I think really deserves on is Jeff Burton. That might not happen, though...

I have to admit I'm starting to like Kyle, I didn't like the trophy smashing but that mofo can drive and the fact that everyone hates him makes me want to like him more......I think that why I started pulling for Jeff many moons ago.

That was a great end to what is generally boring racing. The new restarts totally changes the feel of Michigan. I was pullin for Biff and was also lovin' it when JJ ran dry... I didn't think Greg would as well though. Very entertaining race. Jaime ended up with a solid and well deserved finish after starting 31st and running 20th for half the day.

I agree with you... I think it is going to take some time to get things turned around. If anybody can do it, Hendrick can. I was never a fan of his, but one thing he knows how to do is put championship teams together. It will take time for Chemistry to form with Jr and his new crew chief, if they get it at all. I think it will do Jr well to have someone that isn't going to put up with his crap all the time. I think he still has talent... and can be competitive. I don't expect anything to change over night. I was just happy that they were able to improve on their starting spot. It seemed they were able to make the car better instead of worse like they normally do. This year is done as far as any hopes of the chase, but I just want to see them get out there and be competitive.

Tom
