Some.
Personally, I think the biggest problem is the driver.
I look at it like this. The driver has to be able to communicate to the crew chief what he does or does not like about how the car handles. Those two just are not on the same page. Unforunately, he's pretty much all Jr.'s ever known. That's a major downfall. Hopefuly for him he can click with somebody and start putting together some good runs. However, if he lacks ability to analyze the car well, it won't matter how good the crew chief is or how in tune he is to Jr.'s analysis. If the analysis is bad, the correction will be bad. I tend to feel Jr. is an above average driver with less than steller corrective abilities.
I think Tony Jr was a security blanket for Jr. I think Jr got real used to Tony Jr just taking his sh@% and not saying anything to him. I think this could be good for Jr. I hope.
Today was a decent day I think. I listened to Jr's scanner and he was calm collected and gave what I think was good information. I will take a 12th place finish over 40th any day of the week the wya things have been going for that bunch. I think Jr will get things turned around. I will even go as far as to say that he will even win a race or two this year.... starting with Daytona in July!
And just for the record... Tony Jr was not released, he is in R&D for Hendrick. He was just simply removed as crew chief. I think this will all work in the end.
