Button on P1 at Monaco!

I honestly didn't think Button was going to pull off a pole for this race. Rubens had looked a bit quicker than him throughout the practices and there were other teams out there setting the pace. I thought for sure Rosberg or Hamilton would be sitting on pole. I can't wait for this one to play out :)

Alright, well is totally bogus. Of all races all year long, this is probably THE ONE I don't want to miss. I absolutely love Monaco and for whatever reason I'm not getting Speed. I just got off the phone with customer service and they can't figure it out so I have an appt. for a tech to come out on Friday. Well FN yippy... Somehow I got it to record qualifying this morning but I havn't gotten any signal on that channel all day long since I got up. This friggin' sucks. :thumbdown

Ok, so I'm watching nascar pre-race and I hear peepee Bergren ask Kurt Busch about Castroneves' Indy 500 win. Kurt made a couple general positive comments as anybody would be he said something that caught my attention. He said something about him working his way through the field or to the front or something like that... Castroneves started on POLE, and was toward the front ALL RACE LONG. Did Kurt even watch the race?

BTW- Congratulations to Helio Castroneves. That's was the first Indy 500 I've ever watched and it was very entertaining. The celebration and post race excitement was better than any race or any win of any sport I've ever seen. Very emotional and very cool.

And of course... Button wins at Monaco. A stout peformance at a very very demanding racetrack. According to statistics the championship is his but I don't fall for that stuff. Still a lot of races and I look forward to the next one.

Well That Sucks!

I had the cold ones ready, a fresh hot pizza from Sal Anthony delivered, (kick ass NY pizza), the whole family was out in Staten Island, and wasn't gonna be home till late, and I was ready for 600 miles of racing in peace and quiet. Looks like now it will be cold pizza, loud kids, and the wife yappin tomorrow at noon. Oh well. :D

I got off work at 7 tonight, and I was going to make a night out of watching the last 58 laps of Monaco, the Indy 500, and the Coke 600. The 600 being rained out ruined my awsome night I had planned, then my Tivo ended the Indy 500 with 2 laps to go on me. Oh well.

Dude, I always set my DVR to record an extra hour for any type of race. You never know when there will be a red flag, and insane amount of cautions, delayed start or some other reason for it to run over. I watched about the first half of Monaco until my cable started acting up and made it unbearable to watch. I did watch Indy which was really cool and I was ready to watch the 600 but that'll have to wait until tomorrow.

You didn't miss anything in the last 2 laps but you did miss a VERY emotional post race. It was pretty cool actually to see everybody soo worked up over the win.

My NASCAR season pass thing on Tivo is set to record 2.5 hours over the scheduled run time. I just didn't think about it for the 500.

That race was a disappointment on so many levels! But... at Least KB didn't win again!

Ahh..rain delays..getting old fast.

Agreed.

I'm getting more and more tired of rain delays and short races. If I wasn't such a big Jamie Mac fan I don't think I'd even bother tuning in every week. I'm just sooo tired of it.

So Eury jr. was released. You think this will help?

Some.

Personally, I think the biggest problem is the driver.

I look at it like this. The driver has to be able to communicate to the crew chief what he does or does not like about how the car handles. Those two just are not on the same page. Unforunately, he's pretty much all Jr.'s ever known. That's a major downfall. Hopefuly for him he can click with somebody and start putting together some good runs. However, if he lacks ability to analyze the car well, it won't matter how good the crew chief is or how in tune he is to Jr.'s analysis. If the analysis is bad, the correction will be bad. I tend to feel Jr. is an above average driver with less than steller corrective abilities.
