Shown is a SCX-6 transmission setup where we stripped down the factory transmission, removed the high-speed gears and shifting servo, and then paired it with the new Hobbywing crawler motor ( fantastic motor for this truck ), and got the weight down to 1455 grams as shown in this photo.
Testing new transmission design this week on our dedicated Honcho crawler, looking to see if the OG unit is now obsolete. The factory unit from Axial with motor is is around 2500 grams.
The new unit ( not shown ) is 660 grams with the same motor. More intel to come.
