I just bought this hunk of junk on e-bay and the pull cord just broke on me. anyone know if a pull cord for another vehicle will work for this ?

a picture or model name would help, cause i've never heard of '' hunk o junk'' as a rc name brand, lol

If it's ebay and hunk o junk; my guess... Smartech. However, it might be an OS. It all depends on how you were pulling the rope that causes it to break. If you were pulling on it like a lawnmower or weed whacker, then that's the most probable cause.

All you need are short flicks of the wrist.

And when you say "broke", did the rope snap in two, or just outright come out of the spool? It shouldn't be all that hard to re-wind the pullstart; just have a go at the search for "pullstart rewind", and it should be in the first couple links.

both...

the rope snapped and came out. I just got done rewinding it. I fiddled with the Idle adjustment too. Any way to re-set it?

A general rule of thumb; the idle screws' starting point is usually at about 1 to 1.5mm (about the thickness of a credit card). From there, it's adjusted based on the requirements of the low and high needle valves.
