how come my pull rope keeps breaking? i get about 5 starts from a new pullrope then it breaks right at the knot thats in between the 1-way bearing & the hole in the spring spool.......

Your pulling it out to far..You should only pull it about 8'' out!

your probably pulling to hard. All you need to do is flick your wrist a few times to start a mill

thats the wasp 28......nice engine........when i first got it i couldnt start it with the pull so i put the old rotostart on it till i git it broke in then putthe pull back on it........whats the pull rope made out of anyhow? how come sometimes when i start the engine it runs a bit then die.....when it does that it jerks the rope tight against the hole where it goes in the case.......can that make the rope break?

the pullstart comes out at a slight angle you should pull at that angle, not straight up. I would also get a ruler and measure out about 8-10" and use a marker and color about a inch on the pull rope, that way when you pull you know how far to come out.

good idear the markin is......anyhow i gota see if i can get just the spring thing the rope winds on cause i pulled the knot plum through it & it wont hold a rope no more........mite just gota by a new pullstarter but whenever i git it fixed I'm gona mark it.......

that is what I do and I have never overpulled or broke a pull start.

haha.......got another question but not about pullstart.......about the only thing i aint upgraded on my savage is the arms & shock springs........when i replace something i never replace with stock parts.....time for new shocks cause they are a bit weak now but will have to do till the race next friday is over......what colour would be a bit stronger spring than the black stock springs......my savage weights 14.2lbs

hey the wasp 28 will keep breaking the pullstart i went thru this. according to them crack the glow plug until it starts the tighten it up
i went thru 4 and a back plate . i had this in a monster gt
