It all depends on if you want to lug more around when bashing. Or at the track. If you want to deal with charging another battery or two just for it.
Reasons I like pull starts:
You can FEEL the motor and if something isn't right
You can HEAR the motor and tell if its not right
Less to lug around and worry about having to charge(I tent to have dead batteries ever time I go to run)
Don't get me wrong there easier on the hands and there quicker to start when used right.
Its all on preference
To truly tell yourself you would need to test and see how you like it.
How exactly did you pull your whole cord out?
Did you pull to hard? Or was the motor not turning over?
Was it hard to pull out? The motor could be flooded,
Make sure you read up on the stickys there's a lot to learn, you have to break them in properly and tune them, and watch the temp they run at.
