Can anyone please help, my son was out with his gs storm it started fine until it stalled, went to restart after pulling the cord it would not return, it would only return if you took out the glow plug. I hope somebody out there understands the problem...Keith

Sounds like you may have excess oil build up in your Pullstart assembly and one-way bearing.

Take it off carefully so the assembly doesn't come apart. Take not of the one way bearings orientation. It goes only "one way" . Clean it off with some Denatured alcohol. Let it dry. Clean off the backplate carefully. Don't get it in the engine. Just spray it on a rag and wipe clean.

Once done re-assemble and give the Pullstart a tug. if it locks up you may need to replace the pullstart.

Let us know if this helps.

Sounds like a frozen one-way bearing. If memory serves right, the one-way on the GS engines is internal.

that happened 2 me buy i could just pull a little non even a turn of the engine and it came back.

that happened 2 me buy i could just pull a little non even a turn of the engine and it came back.it could like he said be the one way bearing:constipat

Keep an eye out on your one-way. if it gets that "gritty" feel, it may be time to reaplce it. After each run, you should really do a maintenance routine to inspect, clean and or replace parts.
