I just picked up a Jato 3.3 and I am having problems getting the truck to hook up. I have adjusted the clutch but then all I do is burn up spur gears. I have the carb adjusted to a good point (i think). All it wants to do is spin the tires. Any help and advise would be great. Thanks Jake

Yeah... that's kind of what the jato does. You either get wheelies or wheel spin. Even on pavement. You have to really feather the throttle to keep it from doing one or the other. Especially when it's not warm outside. Where are you located and what's your outside temps?

Yup Olds is correct...that thing is a wheelie machine. Mine never has full traction. I have been lucky on spur gears though, I run mine on the just a tad loose side to preserve the drive line. But yeah...spin out, burn out or wheelie. That's a Jato.

I live in NW Indiana. It has been in the mid 40's low 50's.

I can't even get the thing to do a wheelie.

i have been running my jato in snow and get great grip and i am running my spur a little lose

The Jato is a burn out, doughnuttin', wheely machine!! It's hillarious to drive, I got mine recently so I have not run it in over 40 degrees. I put it on the street in front of my house one day when it was barely 30 and it was rediculous! with in 10 minutes the street was mangled mess of all types of tire marks as far as you could see in both directions that stayed around for the better part of a week. Even if I feathered it to get going by the time it shifted I'd be at WOT and it'll just powerslide away! At about 40 degrees it will start to hook up and wheelie, I can't wait to see it on 70 degree pavement!
