Yea! Saved my favorite Chevy nomad and I've just bought a few locally that were beat up and restored them too. I actually have a restomods thread šŸ˜Ž
Thread 'Hot Wheels Restomods' https://www.rctalk.com/forum/threads/hot-wheels-restomods.145568/

I love the mustangs. I've got the classic mustang convertibles where the hood lifts up. One of my favorites, our daughter loves those too ā˜ŗļø
Thanks for sharing that, I do appreciate it. I’ll go check it out. 😊

I’ve been a fan of the late 60’s and 1970 mustangs since I was little so I was thrilled when I got me a 2008 because they went back to that body style and I just had to have one. My wife found the listing and that was all she wrote, finally have a mustang of my own, so much fun to drive. šŸ˜Ž

Yea! Those are definitely fun cars and good looking too.

Picked up this, '75 Datsun the other day. It's nothing special as far as hot wheels go. But I've come to really like the low rider look.

Can't wait to see some of your hot wheels ornaments @racerEX !
Well hello. I scoured the inter webs looking for a hot wheels mustang s197 (2005-2009) with the same hood as mine, ā€˜ā€˜twas to be my first, to no avail.

I may be out of luck and I’ll have to go with a regular one and copy my paint job. Hadn’t even consider it til this thread, thanks again. 😊

Would the Mustang Dark Horse give a closer vibe to the s197?
Body styling a little different, but it's got a hood scoop

That’s purty! šŸ˜Ž

It looks closer than what I’ve found. Mine has a supershaker hood like the 1970 boss. I wonder if I could perform a surgery and change the hood. 😁

This is mine, I’ve only seen that style hood on the 70’s HW mustang.

Now that I found Dark Horse, I kinda want to order one šŸ˜„.

Very pretty! I don't think you'd have to do any surgery really. I'd just make a little block out of clay, bake it to harden it, glue it to the hood and paint šŸ˜Ž.

Look at you, a wealth of information. šŸ‘šŸ¼

I would love the dark horse, I’ll be on the lookout for that one. 😊

Yes ma’am I did, thanks though. ā¤ļø

Would matching the wheels be tough? Is there a big selection of replacement wheels?
Or this one: https://a.co/d/cLi4Yla šŸ˜…

Wheels can be tricky. I'd say if you have calipers, measure the axle length and wheel diameter. There's tons of wheels out there on eBay. Some are built and some need assembly. Other thing you can do is find another hot wheel with the wheels you like in the same size and use it as a parts car šŸ˜‰

Parts car is the cheapest option, cuz you can probably find it for $2 ;)

Are you finding these cars and parts on Amazon or eBay? Where did you find the Datsun?

Cars... I honestly find them at our local grocery store or Target. The Datsun, was in a bin at the grocery store.
I've found some of the anniversary ones at my LHS.

Parts, eBay is my go to.

Got the eyelets in today so we went to Target for some cars. My son picked a low rider truck, lol, I got a T-Bird.

I’m hoping to get them done tomorrow. Ok
