Lol! I thought yours was a boy! My original statement stands, slightly modified!
We have 2 boys who don't care at all about my stuff!
1 likes running the rc's, the other is shy I think.

Once he breaks and fixes something, he'll see its no biggie.

Lol! It's a delicate balance isn't it? The kiddos aren't interested so you get to have some fun by yourself (which for me as an introvert is kind of nice, lol!), or like my daughter; now she always wants to drive the "big truck" (TRX4) and mom only gets a couple minutes of fun.

Maybe when I get the Blue Scout II, she'll be interested in driving that...

BTW I am terrified to start painting this Lexan Corvair. Haha!

Lol! I was so inspired, I pulled down a box of old Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Stompers... another can of worms!
Theres a lot of memories in this old toy box!
It makes me wish I was a boy again.

One of ours plays bass guitar so he's pretty into that.
Our oldest is working, older etc so he just has different interests right now.
I am sort of bummed that I don't know ppl locally to run with.
Hopefully showing up at the track will cure that.
I just want to get to racing again!
At least I'll be surrounded by lots of other deliquents, grumpy old farts and prob like 10-20 young punks that need to be shut down out on that track!
I haven't even seen the new building ( track just moved ) never mind who races there! I really am looking forward to getting there on a race day though to check it out.
They used to have a crawler course too. No idea if it will be at the new place.
Its a membership, 24 hr track. You pay, you can play. Race hours are clearly posted. Its a real cool place but an hour away now.

I need to get these cars put away!

I forgot... practice your paint technique on soda bottles first so you feel good about it! No pressure.

got bored, here's my mustang

a matchbox supercharger 57 chevy sans front front end. with pulling sled! used to have a tone of matchbox superchargers, I'm down to a small handful now. they were heavily used and abused.

and i grabbed these out of the bin to, enjoy. i think the green 55 chevy was a happy meal toy... (i have at least 4 of them)

no joke, i have at least 4 of those green 55's. still have a bunch of the happy meal hot wheels. there was another white 55 chevy, 57 t-bird, can't remember the year cadi, quaker state nascar, couple funny cars, few dragsters, hot wheels livery trans am, 63 corvette. and i have multiples of most of them.
which 442? the greenish one or the silver one? pretty sure i have at least 2 of the greenish ones.

That gold with black 442 is a nice casting and classic colors

t birds huh. yeah i gots some of those. one is a happy meal toy (think i have 4 of them) the other iv had for so long i don't even remember where it came from. i just remember it was one of the fastest down my Hot Wheels drag drag strip 30+ years ago, so naturally it was one of my favorites.

and sense i was at it, have a couple more pic's from my ol' collection. some of these are probably early/mid 80's. the Corvette has a snap hinge thing on the back of the chassis that allows you to adjust the rear ride height. the white 55 is a happy meal toy.

i doubt that bird was a Burger King toy. my family didn't eat at burger king and iv had that thing sense i was probably 3 or 4 (1986ish). the bottom says "Hot Wheels 57 T-Bird ©Mattel inc 1977 Hong Kong"

The t-bird in the left top pic you have is definitely a happy meals toy. I had that one too. I just picked up that gold split window Corvette at the thrift store the other day

i doubt that bird was a Burger King toy. my family didn't eat at burger king and iv had that thing sense i was probably 3 or 4 (1986ish). the bottom says "Hot Wheels 57 T-Bird ©Mattel inc 1977 Hong Kong"

I think it was a promo type thing. I don't think it came 'with' the meal. They are def real hot wheels cars. I'm sure of that much.

Its funny how tough PARTS of these cars were while others were SO flimsy!
Kept us coming back for more Happy Meals I guess!
Looking at my belly, I think I might have another case of these cars hidden away somewhere!
I wish I had ALL my Hot Wheels from over the years! What a fun collection that would be!

i still have all my Hot Wheels. I'm guessing over 200 cars. only thing i don't have anymore, and frankly I'm kinda pissed/bummed about it is my Matchbox Supercharger monster trucks. most would be in terrible condition, but still. i played with those things like crazy, they would at least be cool to have just to dig out and look at every know and then, have some memories.

I have some others mixed in. Hotwheels Scorchers truck and some other pull-back cars. RoughRider and Stomper trucks... like you said, more about memories than anything else.
I took a sharp turn down memory lane when I dug into that box!
