I have a problem with buggys having initialy some play of the rear suspensionarms on their pins/inserts

if rear armends rock a few mms forth and aft, left to right each time you brake or accelerate, play got to become bigger and bigger...

doesn't this affect the handling ??? / in the end

which brands do you know have such a play from the start ??
does mugen mbx5 have it to ?

does it have eccentric bushings in the pin holders?
is this an MBX-5?
do you have the clips on the hingepins?
small movement shouldn't be an issue but it does eventually wear out......if your bushins are plastic that's normal, they are isolation from all the abuse the hinge takes...so you should be replacing them regularly....if it's new and it's noticable, or you can see the movement that sounds like too much...your missing something......

I use shims to take up any play in the suspension. Its not unusual for any RC to have slop. When using shims just make sure nothing binds up.

I can't use any shimms, to narrow between arm ends and inserts already

It is just the play of the arms on their pins but also a bit in the inserts
new kit
nothing missing
arm ends can be rocked several mms
I won't tell the brand
but it's a top race buggy

well by not disclosing the brand you're asking for blind help....no one is gonna rag on the top notch company....if it's an Xray the play is probably in the Eccentric Bushings.....I replace mine once a month.....if it's the MBX I see alot of people using the brass bushings, which would make it more precise but they transfer more shock to other parts that can't really take it too much....if it's an OFNA 9.5 I know I had to put washers behind the E-clips so the shaft wouldn't pop em off all the time.....each brand has littel issues...by being all secretive your shooting yourself in the foot for no reason.....

take your xb8 down to the lhs to see what they think. it shouldnt have any more play than any other brand new buggy. if it does maybe some parts need to be warrentied. let your lhs decide which ones need sent in. mine has always had a little play to it, but thats expected with moving assemblies. even after 5+ gallons of use on the chassis, i dont have excessive play. if you could take a small vid showing the play your talking about, it could clear things up in a hurry.
