My dad sent me this link in an email. It's amazing.

Ever build a model airplane? Then you will love this!

This is a labor of love!

Actually has 8 "real turbines" at about $1500 each!

It took over 2 years to build.

Takes multiple pilots as there are so many things to control.

Think they are nervous during the maiden flight?

Unbelievable that someone would make this - all real turbines! Check out the movie link below.

This was posted in the vid's section a while back - that plane is amazing!

YOu guys know it crahsed. Something went wrong and the whole thing went up in flames.

dammit....

WoodiE, I thought about doin' a search ahead of time and I thought.... "no way"

let's call it a bump!

(I just did a search... it's too bad that thing crashed...)

How would you get an insurance policy written on something like that?

guy's my father has the crash vid on his comuter. I'll find somewhere to post it tomorrow and post it up for you guys to see. I almost had tears in my eyes it was so painful!

I heard nitro sounds outside my window just today and went outside to investigate.

I came around the corner just in time to see a T-Maxx laying on its lid with three tires spinning. I was behind the operator as he was approaching the TU vehicle. Half way in his approach the TRX25 died of fuel starvation. I felt his pain.

I think he had just hit the curb. One wheel was extremely cockeyed. Upper and lower a-arms and shock caps were snapped on one corner.

His name is Mike. We might see him here soon.

"My name is Mike. I'm a nitroholic"

VB... I'd definitely like to wince (morbid curiosity) while I watched a B52 crash and burn.

yeah I saw the vid of it crashing it kinda put a small grin on my face... isnt that society today though? lol

Oh man. To have that kind of time and money invested and to watch her nose dive into the ground. Talk about a kick in the nuts.

on some other forum there was like a 15 page post that I read one night they were all tlaking aobut the roll of a b-52 and critical air speed and how if it rolls too far it can't come back b/c it will just stall when you get that big, little mistakes have BIG consequences, I don't think they ever figured out why it crashed tho

it looks underpowered when it takes off, I think it needed 10 engines. Real b52's tip stall just like that. Some years ago some hotshot pilot came in to land at Boeing in Seattle, and had it banked perpendicular to the ground. It just fell straight down and desintegrated. The pilot was disiplined a couple other times for flying too crazy, but that was his last mistake...

It looked like a real nasty day.... I probably would have never let it fly. Very Cool
Plane. Well at least it lives on video.
