ok i have a .12 CV-RX in my HPI nitro MT stadium truck. basically its got no bottom end what so ever. the pipe on it now is a WFC single chamber. i know the pipe is junk and I'm hoping a new one will fix my lack of low end punch. i know that its not by tune cause i know what I'm doing with a carb. i think I'm looking at 3 different styles of pipes right now.

#1 is a CVEC
#2 is a ribbed pipe
#3 is a pipe with sharp angled cones like the AE low end pipe i see on RC10GT's

can i hear some suggestions and experiences please. and no repeating what your cousins, brother in-laws, kid said about a conversation he over heard in the hobby shop. i want personal experiences, no bench racing here folks. that doesn't help anyone.

edited to clarify, that this .12 is NOT in a monster truck

i whould go with the CVEC because my best friends older brothers cousins sister has this pipe and she says it good.so iam convinced it will be good for you..all kidding aside this pipe is what most st owners are running..i just bought to rampages and the are both running them..

**EDIT*** my bad there running the ae pipe sorry and i swear it said st not mt iam really bad.

i'd get the ribbed pipe or the cvec. i have the rc10gt pipe on my rustler and it didn't do anything to the performance, although it did make the engine sound way cooler :D

Surely a .12 in a heavy MT is gonna struggle with any pipe?

Unless you are using it in some capacity restricted race class then I would say use your pipe budget to help fund the purchase of a small-block .18

an XTM .18 can be had for the same price as a pipe.. around $85 give or take..

If you are stuck on just a pipe, like you said make sure it has a steep angle. I've had a lot of expereince with pipes :D the shorter ones with the sharp angle work the best.

well the engine is brand new, so I'm not buying a new one. i grabbed what i got a deal on. and the truck isnt that heavy. its HPI's Nitro MT, which is a 4wd stadium truck. i know that a pipe will help since i tried a duel chamber trinity pipe a friend had laying around and it was a pretty good improvement. I'm just looking for the right pipe the first time around cause i dont feel like buying a 3rd pipe for this truck. id say that the one on it now is a high rpm pipe better suited to one of my onroad cars. ill try that short, steep angled pipe. thanks guys.
