Which one should I get, I can still get the sirio I know its discontinued, thanks

I would get the sirio .18 even though its discontinued. Unless you have already spent the money for new differentials, CVD, and a tranny. I was wanting a big block engine bu then olds told me that it costs about 500 to 1000 to make it hapen. If you have all the stuff replaced then go for it.

You can get Picco P2 .21. But, the clearing between the header and shock tower will be very limited. If you bash alot then you might need to get .21 chassis to make the clearing more.

Or you can wait for O.S .18 TM. It should be a very nice engine. It will be out mid Nov.

Common fish first its a mid block design drop in and I have a buddy that has a .21 conversion w/ a .27 sirio and all his diffs and gears are stock and nothing broke or stripped the axles have twisted slightly but not bad so cvd's maybe, $500 to $1000 who told you that I'm laughing all the way to the bank, hey they want your money!!!!

My sirio .18 has been trouble free and has plenty of power. I would recomend this motor to anyone, very easy to keep a tune!!

Sirio is good. But, .18 has been discontinued. The new .23 is too pricy. I am looking forward for O.S. .18.

I have read many good this about O.S. and I will give it a try.

I said $500-1000 would be the total price including the $400 for the original truck, 21 engine, 21 conversion kit (vs the drop in), RRP trans, RRP diff's, AL diff cups, al diff cases, good cvd's, 1/8th clutch/spur, better shocks and GA 7075 bulks. In otherwords, bombproof.

The mid-blocks don't put out the same power as a BB does. Due to the exhaust and just the general size of the engine.

Laugh all you want... all you have to do is add.

I think fish misunderstood that this was a drop in 21, not a 21 conversion. Also, I wasn't selling him anything other than advise.

Have you seen the latest RCCarAction yet?

They did a test of 9 different .18's all in a S-Maxx and the O.S. .18 CV-R(X) out performed all of them. The S-Maxx went 40 mph with it and only 37 mph with the Sirio. Something to think about. Also the O.S. had the smoothest curve too.

If you haven't seen the RCCarAction, check it out, the have power/speed curves for nine small blocks on the S-Maxx.

I cancelled my subscription. There was very little in those mag's that I could use and it wasn't worth it. The stupid thing was more advertisements than information. If I want ad's, I can surf the web and get them for free.

That's cool that they did a side by side though. That's one thing they were always able to do well. Anything they could throw money at, they tried.

Did they still have a paragraph in there about how the 2.5 did almost as good as the OS 18??? Just curious. They always seemed to cater to Traxxas.

olds, I didn't see anything about the 2.5 in comparison but there could be. They did use an S-Maxx as a tester though.

yeah and i guess in that comparison the OS .18 cvr-x beat the sirio .18 in all catagorys, thats quite a feat as my sirio .18 ran real strong. they tested the engines with stock trx 2.5 pipe and the sirio bog bore pipe when the engines were rear exhaust. thing is the new OS .18 Tm engine is supsoed to be more powerful than the Os .18 cvr-x. seems like OS is putting out some serios power now in there engines.
