YEAH! I got it all back together! I was gonna try to break the new engine in today, but, i had to help a friend pull his car out of the mud.... he ended up getting it stuck in his friend's field.... anyway, heres the newest pic of my maxx!!!!!

Lemme know what u guys think of it!!!!

That's a sweet looking rig! I'd find a roll bar or something before I took it out though. That engine head is just begging to get ripped off!

Shiny... mmmmmmmmmmm.

Yeah, i have the roll bar, but, i can't put it on with the linkage setup i have!!!! The other linkage setup i had was next to the tranny, but it was tangling in the air filter and hittin the neck of the carb, so i figured i could leave it off for break in.

Maximizer ultimate setups with RRP gears. It uses a series or springs and clutches to almost "lock" or use as an open diff. I havent had a real chance to "try her out" but I'm sure they will work for a while.

DOOOOOOODE that is one sick T-maxx.....I want to race that against my mutant...any chance you're visiting Ft. Lauderdale in the near future?? LOL...

that's one hell of a nice Maxx you got there bud. Did you ever get new engine mounts made? I ran into the same problem with the New Era twin engine conversion. I had a new chassis plate made except I had the engine mount holes moved back 1/8 inch. That created another problem... now the headers get real close to the inner shocks. Fotunately I had purchased the Fastlane towers which give you lots of mounting options. i thought about going with the shock package that you have except I already have clearance issue with the New Era sway bar system... are we seeing a pattern here? anyways, enough of my rambling. Nice lookin truck bro!

Yeah, you can see the new engine mount in the pic. I had it so the engine was moved back 1/8 inch and over towards the tranny 1mm. The guy who made it was Steve at SSRC Racing. Pretty easy to work with, and great work!

Are those lower towers? they look pretty low to me

I'm 69 dude

your post made me go use that site to host my pics too...thanks for the inspiration

www.ssrcracing.com... He makes custom stuff for pretty cheap, he just does it when he has time, but he is good! I dont know if the towers are low, i got them from Fastlane.

cool, I'll have to save that link, thanks man.

Plaid- I have those same towers on my Maxx as well. I'm pretty sure they are normal height. just look kinda strange I guess cuz they're straight across the top

The failsafe is on top of the steering servo. I dropped the pipe enough, i also have an exhaust deflector on it, so I'm good. I just got through tank #6 on break in, waiting for it to cool down. Really easy to start, and good power... way better than the small block 2.5 i had!!! I havent driven it since i had it all stock.... WOW what a difference!

You might want to make some sort of pipe hanger for the rear of the pipe. On big air, the heavier pipes tend to rip the coupler.

I had problems with that on my savage. Now I use nylon re-enforced silicone tubing that my father in law gave me. He worked at a hosing distribution warehouse. I have 50 feet of the stuff...

THat sirio is a beast man....when I had mine in the mutant it was just too fast....Now i'ma better driver I might go back to one after the fantom is done...or the .30.....that maxx should pull buggies down the straights w/ that engine in it.....

Finished tank 7. I havent gone past half throttle, becuase it wants to spin the tires! i need to go down to the road now. When do i start leaning like an 1/8 per tank?

No one? On the t-maxx 2.5, are the turnbuckles the same length in the front and rear? the front is toed in, and it goes all over the road when i nail the gas, and i can't control it!

The front tires should be set at zero toe in, and the rear at 1 degree. You can only do this by eye. Toe in at the rear keeps it tracking in a straight line.
If you have a noticeable toe in up front, it will make it very squirrelly.
As far as your break in, you should be running WOT by now. If it wants to spin tires already, don't touch the LSN.
At WOT, any hesitation or blubbering would be corrected with the HSN. Run it, and let us know what it's doing.
By the way, in the last pic, that thing is absolutely beautiful.

I didn't want to jump in because I've never had that engine. But by tank 5 or 6, I'm starting to lean it. I'm a little more hesitant to hit WOT than rolex is, but he's a smart guy!

I normally wait until tank 10 or so before I start seeing what the engine can do at WOT.
