Hey,

I got a stock t-maxx 2.5 for christmas last year, and in the pic below, you can see i have done a lot since then! This is my first Maxx i have ever built, but i like it! In the picture, there are some noticable things wrong, but i have fixed them since i took the picture. I am gonna be breaking in the new Sirio .27 after it warms up a little bit, and after i get the 1/8 scale clutch (will be here monday!). I had probs with either my engine or my temp gun because the first tank i could not get readings over 100 degrees! I think my temp guns battery is dead or something, cause i don't think this is possible. lol anyway, lemme know what ya think.

Ummm oops... i forgot to put the link... lol

is your tmaxx a shelf queen or do you really drive it because it is sweeeeeeeeeeeet and it still looks brand new.

That was just after i put everything together, after i got the engine for christmas! But yeah, i am definately gonna get that thing dirty!!! and bash the heck outta it!

Man, that thing is really clean. Lookin good. I'm sure you'll have a great time bashin it up!

Thanks, i really like the way it turned out. I have a question if someone could help me out. I have the UE gen. 4 servo saver and i don't know what kind of servo horn to use. I tried the round horn that came with my hitec 645 and it doesn't steer much at all (shorter length than the stock horn). Could anyone reccomend me a new servo horn?

Nice truck...I wouldn't have the patience to set something like that up without having the urge to run it.

is anything stock?

also why did you post this a 3:40 a.m. I hope your not eastern time

Verrry Nice....... Tell me more about this Fastlane Machine Bulkless system.

Well, the FastLane Bulkless system is very nice, but I'm kinda kicking myself for getting them because i can't put 1/8 scale diffs in them. I might sell them soon and get some UE bulkless system. If you want some, check em out at Atomrcproducts.com. They were $120 for the front and back together. Great price, and so far they have prooved to be super tough. They also replace stuff if it breaks.

how does the bulkless work. Does it act like a differential housing also? So insteed of holing the differential it is the differential. Right?

It is the bulkhead and gearboxes machined in 2 halves, instead of 4 pieces, which results in a stronger setup. And, it only weighs like 1.5 oz more than stock.

And yes, there are a few things that are stock. The throttle servo and the brake linkage. And also the spider gears in the front diff are stock. The rear diff has a spool.

ohh yeah, i needed to ask what someone could reccomend for a throttle servo. And if someone could answer the previous questions about the servo horn?

Ya I like the UE ones myslef. Just never heard of the ones Your running now. if I go with a bulkless i will get the UE ones.

Yeah, i think i will start saving up for those right away. It'll cost me a lot of money to do, but i need the bulkless and 1/8th scale diffs...ouch..

I don't know why you would want to bash it when it looks that nice. I put alot of money in mine but I bash it and that's why it doesn't look beautiful. I call it Ratmaxx, but honestly, that is a very nice looking truck. Have fun.

Thanks. I really am going to hate getting it dirty just because i it looks so good when its clean. But then again, what are monster trucks for? Scaring the little stadium truck show queens off the shelves? lol

I'm gonna have to break it off my shelf, i think its scared of getting dirty.

What I did when I put my Hitec 645MG in for a steering servo was to put the stock Traxxas steering servo (2055) in as my throttle/brake servo. It's more than powerful enough to make my heavy Maxx lock up the brakes on asphalt. And if you've already got one, it's free!

As far as the servo horn goes, mine came with a bag of servo horns in various sizes and shapes. If I recall, one was really long and could easily be trimmed down to a usable length. Otherwise just do a search on Tower Hobbies for "Hitec horn" and you should find something that works.

I use dubro heavy duty horns for pretty much everything. You can buy them for pretty much any brand of servo and if they are too long, there's always a shorter one or you can cut a long one.
