Sound like your building one very sweet truck you should post pics when you get the new body I'm planning on getting a new one also I have done some air brushing so I'm going to try my luck I'm thinking of some tribal flames that fade several diffrent colors.
I have a stock wheel base so I have lots of options I want somthing unique like a 50,s style chevy truck or mabe a 55 chevy belair that would be cool to see :)

Thanks.

Anyone know what i can use instead of fuel tubing on the brake linkage?

Use good fuel tubing. Even my LHS gives the buyer of a Tmaxx a piece of normal fuel tubing to replace that thin soggy piece it comes with.

Ohhh. I will try that! Was also going to ask what thickness of tire glue i should use for my tires. Thanks for the help!

Ok, the thicker fuel tubing worked for the brakes!!! No more flimsy brake tubing! 100% reccomended by me! change that stock tubing to thicker tubing to get better brakes.

As far as gluing the tires, use the thin CA. It gets into any spots that the thicker glues will miss.
As "instant" as this glue is, don't run the tires till the next day. Let them sit on their sides, not mounted on the truck with a load on them. If you run them right away, it just hasn't had a chance to bond completely, and will eventually start to separate in some places. That leaves them out of balance.

Ahh, Thank you for clearing that up. I have a big bottle of zap-a-gap thin CA glue that will do the trick. I have 12 tires to glue, but i have to drill holes in the rims first. I won't be able to run the truck for at least 2 weeks, because i'm waiting on my custom engine mount, but i will glue the tires soon! Man, i thought of another question, but i forgot while i was writing!.... it will come back to me! Thanks for the help.

lol, sometimes i feel that way. Thinking of something and it just disapears.

Now I remember.

I was going to ask if the supermaxx 8-spider diffs came in sets of 2, or i have to buy 2 sets for $244? Thats a lot of money.... well, i guess i had better start saving.

I'm fairly certain the $250 price tag gets you enough for one truck (2 diffs). I questioned that as well a year or so ago, but I asked UE directly via email.

Regardless, it was still more than I wanted to pay at the time.

This is in the specifications below the pic:
"Detailed set-up instructions
and everything else you need to set up a complete truck"

This is the link I pulled the text from: UE Ultralight 8 gear diffs

Yeah, i emailed them about 2 days ago, but if it is 2 diffs, i am willing to pay the $250 because they hold up so much better than the stock diffs. They also come with the nice aluminum housing.

Yeah, if you math it out, it's not much more expensive than trying to beef up the 1/10 diffs on the maxx.

Maximizer cup w/mod'd ring gear - $52 X 2 = $104
Integy Diff cases - $22 X 2 = $44
Integy diff collar - $6 x 2 = $12
Total $160

For another $100, you get UE diffs that will hold up a lot better and more than likely longer. Also, they are sealed, so you can set up diff posi. And replacement parts are available without buying a whole chunk. You can just buy the gears you need.

I think I'm gonna do the whole upgrade and get the UE towerless bulkless with the Ti. skids. The only thing i don't like is the bulkless they sell don't have bumper mounting holes, so i have to get rid of my New Era setup with the Ti. bumpers and the Alum. Mounts... i havent gotten to use them yet, but i think the UE setup is the way to go. I also have a New Era front sway bar that i havent used. Any buyers for the parts listed? I put like $150 into all that total.

YEAH! I got it all back together! I was gonna try to break the new engine in today, but, i had to help a friend pull his car out of the mud.... he ended up getting it stuck in his friend's field.... anyway, heres the newest pic of my maxx!!!!!
