It works just as well, but has some water content in it. If you want to use that instead, go to a drug store and get the 91%.

Well I have both just looking for the bestadhesion. When i painted the plastic panels on my sled i had to use a plastic adhesion promoter, thats why i was wondering if anyone was useing something like that. But I am gonna remove all paint clean the hell out of it and retry.

By the way, you can't carry the lid out of an air conditioned house and spray it outside unless you let it sit and acclimate to the ambient temp and humidity for at least an hour.

I always scuff the bodies with a 3m grey pad then wash them
and if i'm using water based paint i always clean it in between colors with da just a quick wipe and let it flash then paint
but if i'm using laq paint i use a anti static cleaner between colors again just a quick wipe flash then paint

Soaking the body in brake fluid to long, it wont eat the palstic or anything right?

It will soften the paint, making it easy to wipe off.
Again, you'll need to go through a thorough cleaning process before you repaint.

Ok so i soaked it down with brake fluid, left it there all nite. It turned my backing coat to goo just as u said it would,although has no affect on the orange paint for some reason. I wiped all the black backer off and resoaked and nothing, hard as a rock and does not want to come off easy. Anymore ideas?

Did you use DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid? DOT 4 works the best....

If it softened the backer and not the orange, then it must not be a Lexan compatible paint. Lacquer based or latex?

The White And the orange are both Tamiya Lexan spray paint 3oz cans.
