Ordered a Flybear, just for fun.

I was bidding on a Unhonest John Estes rocket and got tired of Fleabays games. So I figured id check out other foamy bubbles rc planes. I saw a groovie little FlyBear mono wing pylon racer birdy like my pops old Sonerai 1 full sized bird. I thought man that would be cool to build. I'm kinda shocked Flea Flight has never made the Kit Plane Sonerai series Pylon racer in rc form. Cmon flea flight, get busy on something! The fly bear turned out to be another SBack rc birdy, so when I gets it Ill do a photo op before assembly and after.

Say, can one fly that bird slow and close in? Or do I need a big field? Big fields are in high demand nowadays.

No clue my friend. I don't own this plane.
I do have a couple park flyers and I use the park just for them.
The bigger planes I fly out at the sand dunes. No trees, no rock, and rarely do I see anybody else.

Sonerai came out in 72ish, they had a 1 and 2 seat kit plane vw pylon racer. John Monette used a bright green from the Dodge car line up. Really cool birds. Could be Bought for $5 grand back in the 70s. Company sold out, its now called Sonex.

Sub-lime green I think. Its REAL cool whatever it is! I'd never have the guts to fly it!

Pops had a white and green Sonerai 1 with a vw engine hopped up with porsche engine internals giving it tons of horse power. Top speed is 200 kts. 201 mph. Hes 6-2 and there was room but a tight squeeze. I think you had to hand prop this model.

Yeah, I'd likely have issue without a shoe horn and a crane too!

Hes 6-2, but yeup they are tight fits. Pylon racers formula Vee were for little dudes for sure. The Cassutt was out before the Sonerai. BTW it did have a Low winger for easier access.
