I bought one for my son on Ebay used. There were 2 of them and at the Last 3 sec a guy swooped in and out bid me by 2 bucks. Man was I pissed off I had been watching and babysitting these 2 cars for 2 days. Seem cheat that someone would do that, but my wife says that is how they do it on E-bay.

Well, I am still looking for one for myself.

Yeah... it's called "sniping". There is software out there that will do it for you. I have it happen to me all the time. When I really want something though, I put in a price that I really am willing to pay and just hope. But, when I'm just screwing around and buying the shiny... I don't care if I loose, so I don't bid as high in the first place, but getting shiny at a deal is still a deal;).

mbx ultr comp. I am not sure if it is a good Buggy. I am new to this but, I have seen good things about the OFNA buggys.

And I only payed $162.50+ 15.00 shipping. So, I hopw it is a good buggy.

Not a bad buggy at all. biggest problem is the stock steering servo tends to strip, but a MG srvo can fix that if(when) it breaks.

I had a truggy based on this platform, very solid.

he posted this about the buggy on Ebay:

This ofna 1/8 scale buggy comes ready 2 race. Every thing you need except a starter battery and charger. This includes the radio. I have put only a gallon of fuel through the motor and it runs great. Made it to the A main once with it. Ther servo was upgraded to one with metal gears it holds up better to racing conditions. Other then that this buggy is ready to roll.

How much is this going to cost? like i said noob on nitro.

It's a little older model but still a great buggy.

Well, I am guessing it has one of the electric starts....not the best design. BUT you just need a 7.2v stick pack, and a charger. They can be cheap, or can cost a lot, depending on what you want. I say get a decent charger, not a wall mount or timed one. But it is not as big of a deal since its just a starter batt.

...or spend $15 and get a manual pull start for it.

I've had the lower model LX Comp for 3 yrs now, and it still runs like a champ! Only problem was a run in with a square curb during break-in which stripped the steering servo. But Ofna was kind enough to send me a free replacement under warranty - quality service!
