I have 2 cars and am looking for a transmitter that I can use for both of them without changing the receiver.
If you know any transmitters that come with two receivers and can transmit to them both (not at the same time) please let me know!
Thankyou

Pretty much any programmable 2.4ghz radio can bind with with multiple receivers. The quantity varies by brand/price, but even a cheap one can usually bind to at least 4.

When you setup a vehicle, you set up a model number/name in the transmitter, then bind to the receiver when your on the selected number/name. Then you switch to a new number/name and bind to the second receiver. They keep the key you bound with with each model. Then you just switch models to use whichever vehicle you want.

The cheaper spektrum DX4C can bind to up to 20 receivers. The older DX3C can bind up to 10. However, I can't with good conscience suggest a spektrum due to my 10+ years of having awful range problems with them. I still run one, but am thinking long and hard about changing to something else. The only thing stopping me is that I have 8 vehicles, so I'd need to buy 8 receivers. I was looking at the Futaba 3PV, but the receivers are $60 a pop. So, $140+(7*60)=$560... that's a pretty hefty buy in for me.

flysky is by far your cheapest option and for the price, you really can't beat them
as olds said the higher up on the cost ladder you go on radios, the cost of recievers goes up also and is my reason for not investing in a high$ radio set-up. sure would love to utilize the 7.4v capability of a high$ reciever, though.

If you are still using the stock HPi radio system, i am un-aware of any of their radios that will run any more than one model. Radios/transmitters are vendor specific

ha i have some old am tx/rx and I've run the same transmitter for multiple cars by just swapping the crystal from the reciever to reciever

It was great for its time but the 2.4 with the frequency hopping has just blown the range out of the water compared to the am/fm modulated radios. It's better long term to invest in a good radio and multiple receivers to retrofit where it's needed imo. The radios today with all the flexibility and features are way better imo. Now I have a few futaba fast attack and one erlier than that, a magnum Jr and a couple other brands that just look cool in a box. :meh:

Not to mention... I HAD a box of them... HAD!!! It SUX when you loose stuff like that or it grows feet at a race and ends up in someone else's tool box!!!! those little suckers were expensive at the time and if you didn't have at least a few sets, you weren't likely to race that day!
