thats awesome as hell. I can't even imagine the rank burnt rubber smell..ick..

And people always wonder why I hate Japenese cars. That was awesome though. Gotta love the sound too...I would have been satisfied with a few revs of the engine. I'm actually suprised that he wasn't on bare metal there!

That was insane! lmao he just kept going, and going. I saw an awesome burnout yesterday also, but I couldnt find it again :(

Jeep, that was great! And did I hear that thing shift to second almost at the beginning, while it was power braking? Freakin unreal.

I looked for about an hour but was unable to pull up any vids, But every year in Sturgis they host a burn-out comp featuring some of the nicest bikes that year. The comp doesn't stop until you blow a tire, an engine or just give up. You guys should look into it, some really nice footage over at www.discoverychannel.com

Yep...I couldn't see what kind of car that is but I'm guessing it had something like a 454 +/-

Man I miss my 71 Satelite with a extremely built 318, that thing would smoke both tires as long as I would keep my foot into it. But I became a daddy and had to sell it. Kind of exspensive to drive considering it got around 5 mpg on a good day. I still have my 59 Impala though and when I get it running it should easily be able to lay a patch down the street :devious:

I can't view the vid because my computer is stupid, but Jeep said it was a 68 Charger if so it wouldnt have a 454 thats chevy :). It could have a 426 Hemi or 440 though. Anything is possible though. I guess it could be powered by Chevy  I once seen a Vw bug at the Drag strip at the Super Chevy show powered by a 350 small block, way to funny.

Those 318's were tough built bitches, i had a 72 Challenger 3 speed standard in the floor and that 318 took all I threw at it and then some :)

And yes ,it's a 68 Charger with a very mildly built 440,727 auto tranny , single 4 barrel carb, and yes it hit second very early, and hits third a little after it passes by, you can hear it if you listen close :)
It still gives me chill bumps to watch the vid,,lol

Late 60's, early 70's. American vehicles at their finest. It's too bad. I work at a dealership and it pains me to say it, but there is no such thing as american muscle anymore. It sucks pulling parts off the shelves for american vehicles and they say "made in mexico" or "made in germany" or worst "made in japan". Now Chrysler/Dodge is planning on bringing the Challenger back(which i think looks very nice), which is nice but it bothers me that a returning muscle car is going to be assembled here but the parts are going to be built overseas. Eh, I'm bothered by dumb things sometimes, sorry about the rant. Love the burnout vids by the way.

that car is actually very simular to a charger BUT if you noticed in the vid the driver was on the right insted of the left and how many chargers have you seen like that? i believe the one in that vid did have a GM motor some versions of that car did but some had motors made just by holden them selfs..

heres a link to the car its made by holden in australia

yep, definitely a lefthand drive '68 Charger, as I talked sometime ago with the guy that was on a Dodge Charger forum that I used to frequent that sold that Charger to the guy (which is in Australia) that is driving it in the video. It was originally a U.S. car.

Joey, my mistake bro,
I see now that you were referring to the car in the video you posted, not the one I posted.
Sorry
