hehe - yeah its pretty tore up now

with the paint pulling from corners like I mentioned - its got bubbles and all sorts of scratches on it.

Getting window tint on the paint is what's causing the peeling and chipping. It's not flexible, and on impact it's bonded stronger to the paint then the paint is bonded to the body. My neighbor just learned this the hard way after spending a lot of time on his new lid.
An earlier thread mentioned spraying it as a protective final coat, but that's proved to be a bad idea, unless it's just a light mist coat.
You also need to apply the tint to the windows with very thin coats. It takes practice. It's tough to work with till you get it to a system.
Practice on empty soda bottles.

OK - cool - glad to know that its the tint causing my "bubbling and peeling" issues. At least I can feel I did it right :)

Yeah I read the suggestion on using it as a protective coat - it is really hard. The odd part is I have a large piece cutout from the back of the body and it bends just fine. I think my issue is where its pulling away is where it "pooled" after running down and sitting in the bottom. Its also where it bleed through. Nasty Stuff. I bid caution to anyone using the window tint. As stated - use VERY VERY light coats.
