Ok guys, just thinking about maybe getting one of these. I have a few questions first, please try and answer as many as you can.

-Did Team Losi ever fix the diff gear problem? If so, how? Did it work? Will rtr's come fixed?

-Are there any drop-in lipos (3 cell) that will fit the Mini-LST Chassis?

-Overall, how would you rate the truck? 1 being horrible, 10 being best that ever happened to micro rc.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all of your help and input. I was thinking of getting an emaxx, but now might just get one of these.

-Pat

ok i know nothing about mini rc but i know it will come with the rc bug and you will be bitten!! and you will want to go faster jump higher and fly longer if you want to get an electric i would suggest the e maxx seems like a great truck but i dont know for sure so don't could on my opinion just my 2 cents

Pat,

I love my MLST...i have one of the original lots and never had an issue with the diffs. from what i know most people had issues when they upgraded to Brushless motors. if u get one, i would suggest doing a complete tear down and boil all the plastic gears. this was proven to extend the life of the stock gears and arms. i do know that losi came out with new hop up gears sets ...kinda pricey, but i think they are alum ones.

no experience with the LIPO...but the RTR does come with a LIPO battery holder.

overall, i'd rate the truck a 8. the only thing that i did not like was the radio was known for having glitches.

hope this helps

Hi guys new to forum not micro cars......good to be a member.....

Pat you may or may not have gotten the minlst....
They (losi) sent out spare gears sets to anyone who requested for a while....
3 Cell lipos and brushless will strip the diffs....
Driven productions and gpm makes upgraded plastic diff ring and pinions
Also losi makes the viscous diffs which are $$$ and wont hold up to the higher kv brushless and 3s lipos....
It is the best basher out there if you plan to race get an 18mt you will save dollars ........
My set up is
stock diffs
hyperion 5000kv
2s 1570 lipos
monotuning widetrack kit
monotuning shocks
losi ti-nitride shock shafts
hot racing rear revised knuckles...
3racing rims and tires.......heres a pic

I played with a mini LST and it was nothing to write home about but it was nice to play inside on a rainy day. I would rate it a 7

I had a Mini Lst and I really liked it. I was suprised by the speed and esp. by the durability of the thing. Was a very nice rig. Also the sythesized stock setup was pretty sweet. About the diffs, Yeah I just called losi and told them my diffs were bad and they set me a center, rear and front, no questions asked. can't go wrong with the Mlst. Out of a 10, Id give it a 9. Id give it a 10 but I have to big of hands and redoing the diffs took some effort to get my fat fingers in there..lol
