Yea I shut it down as soon as I saw it, might be a minor bit of donuts but not thw whole reason, now I'm waiting on tires to see whats up.
I'm still learning and god I'm happy a new sleeve for this motor is only like 30. I believe it was a combination of a little lean and bald tires lol
And this is the first time I opened my new redmax fuel today. 20 %
I can tell the motor didnt take the temps well! Lost a little pinch or comprettion:(
Thanks again guys for all your help and your great advice!

I don't mean to come across as a grump, I'm just trying to prevent you
from making mistakes I made and I'm sure a lot of others have made.
Keep at it, you're learning quick, doing fine and most important, having fun.
Bash, crash, upgrade, repeat.:hehe:

You arent coming across as one at all, and a little constructive criticism never heart anyone. I now have plenty of tires coming in the mail ill have monday hopefully along with my other buggies.
I wish I started with a name brand in the first place. 10x better experience! And I've got all you great folks to help all the new fish like me lol

Just a little update.
Badlands are mounted.
Fs-gt3c rx and tx on the way(reason for buying now)
Duratrax raze is awaiting a few parts to be complete. can't wait to try it.
Am going to be trying different diff oils.
Finally sold my volcano s30 for 145.. major loss but its whatever.
Planned on buying that tamaya truggy with the money but still debating, might buy the other half something to keep her happy lol

And sorry to everyone, as I've come to feel like I've become an annoyance. Thus why I'm not on much anymore.

Thanks again for all your help, and happy holidays everyone.

You're one of the few keeping this forum going. So keep the updates coming.
Ask what you need to ask, say what you want to say.

In a little bit I'm going to be posting some pictures and an overall update.
I can't run it until I get my new fs-gt3c tx so today is my check everything over day!

So far I have checked the shoxks and repositioned and readjusted them to get maximum ride height and finally get rid of the little squat I had in the back!

So heres the pictures,
Did quite a bit to my raze! Just waiting on the axle and need a new body
Also did a little bit to my violator!
I cannot wait until monday to get my fs-gt3c tx and try out The raze!
Anyways pictures guys

I think this is from the lipo I used for a tank. Or the fack that this servo was already drownd once and stopped working but came back.
Now all servos are waterproof before use!!

That's looking very good. I imagine you'll become an expert on this buggy pretty soon. Now you're seeing a difference, eh? ;-) I went from Exceed (Redcat) to OFNA too. I could not believe the difference. I'm not puting Exceed down. They are good for the market, I feel. But the quality difference is mind-blowing.

I didnt think it would be that different quality wise but it is. These things are built for abuse, those built for fun. Cheaply made thin breakable plastic.
I dont know if I'm quite readt to try and tune a 3 needle carb the tower hobbies motor has so we will see about that when I get the pullstart from Jsmit!.
I also changed out those front shocks because they were way to weak and bouncy, and I took a spacer off the back passenger side and put it on drivers to stop most of the squatting. But it still squats a little. Kinda annoying but nbd.
can't wait to get my new tx and try everything :)

So today I ran my buggy like I usually due. About a tank to 3 a day!
I was going good, but I broke another wing. Second day in a row. This time I smashed the wing mounts as well.
Been jumping it a lot and getting used to it!
Temps are doing great!
Durability wise you guys were right, the only thing I've broke was a rim, two wings and wing mounts. Jumping 5-8 feet. And have landed on front end with no damage yet. Its a tank!.
Very happy!

I use rubber in a can, kind of like dipping them, but I haven't used grease in the top gear box part so water has still been getting to them.
I'm going to try those spring rc servos and see how they do. You never know till you try, and there are some good reviews on them

Yesterday I went to run her, but my servo saver rod was froze solid inside my servo savor tube thing. So after a lot of frustration pounding and gouging the thing I finally got the rod out. Cleaned up, resmothed all gouge marks on both pieces lubed it and its smooth as butter!
Today I decided to do my diffs, as I haven't really ever. And they were pretty much dry.
The middle one was full but front and rear had barely any left so filled them up.
Putting another servo in because another died. I've lost 2 so far:/ going to be ordering some of those spring rc waterproof ones to try next Friday.
And waiting for FedEx to get there heads out of there arse and get me my package! Its already been moved back one day:(

Smittyzz, try the Traxxas ones. The ones in my Slash are holding up nicely in the snow and ice/water. I hose it off every day when I'm done and the water hasn't bothered them a bit. How's the weather in VT? I think the storm just missed me but nailed everyone up farther north.

Those are my next ones to try if these cheap ones don't.
And there's a lot of snow, and besides that I filled my diffs today and that took away a lot of tire spin... I think 20k is too heavy... I might try 3k or something. Or order some 10 and do 10 in front and rear,
And we got like a foot maybe more of snow, my tires grab good, but I'm pretty sure after the body came off some snow got in the AIT filter and she started dying at any rpm.
After run in her now and done for now.
I plastic wrapped my servos even though there complete garbage, but it helped a lot. None dead yet.
I also finished my raze finally! Got a 4 set of unis and a clutch bell and manifold and 2 shocks for 8.
There a direct fit to both buggies so I'm happy!
Just need a pull start and Prolly a new set of motor mounts for the raze!

Not running yet, needs a pill start, I could throw my ofna in it and play with it but she sadly needs a pullstart
I might look into a more waterproof air filter as well.
But is 20k heavy for winter?

Nice stuff my friend. well done so far. If you ever want to talk about nitro rc just message me i am free now a days to talk..

Can't run till I get my 2075's in, so decided to completely tear down my ofna, before I thought the diff housing was the diff. Now that I know what the diff is from building my tamiya I know what's what Lol.
Anyways rear diff was 95% dry with a smudge of grease, center was filled with grease, and haven't got to front yet.
3k in rear 7k in center, 10 will be in front. I expect a smoother ride after finished.
Also fixed my battery box yesterday.
Waiting on servos, need to order a pull start, one way, and a hump pack to complete.
Then I will finish my raze.
Blahhhhh.
