Official 4th Annual RCNT East Coast Bash

Race day only could be good or bad.
Limited time to run, maximum time to sit around and BS as well as help each-other.

We need to decide what we want........

I just think we won't get much run time at all, nor will we get to run together if we have different rigs. Bashing is much more laid back and relaxing then racing for an RCNT bash imo. I would really prefer a bash atmosphere over the race one, this way we can run what we want, when we want, and not have to deal with all the race stuff, transponders, radio impound, waiting and waiting to get to run, etc. I just feel a bash should be just that, a bash, rather than a race. But no matter what I'll be there.

Also can we grill there? TJ and I were thinking of bringing a couple small propane grills so we can cook out some burgers and dogs, or whatever at the track.

hey all i posted, on the trax sight, that you wanted to have a bash session on saturday as well i told the crew to get with the owner and see what he says. i will be checking both forums periodically to see what the verdict is.

yes you can grill there.

Wood, Rat, anyone else that gives a damn, the Monkey is out for this year.

Do I expect to get hazed about this? Yup!
Would I expect anything else? Nope!
Do I feel like crap havng to bail on this? Yup!

It's a simple matter of finances, and me not having them to make the trip this year. I had a few things crop up (like a nasty little water bill thanks to a leak in my sprinkler system) that I need to address, and unfortunately, that leaves me little money for anything else.

I'll tell you what I will do, though. I will send a cut out of myself you can take to the track and run over with your rigs, throw darts at, burn in effigy, take a leak on or whatever twirls your skirt.

My sincere apologies to you, Woodie. I hate leaving you hanging in the wind like this, but I know you understand...family first.

Rat, sorry I wasted any time looking up hotels and the like. Hopefully it'll benefit the others.

Can't wait to see pictures, though! From the looks of it, shaping up to be a helluva good time!

MW, I understand completely. No worries. You will be missed.

I have no problems with having a bash, but it's a two / two and a half hour ride for you Long Island boys to Trax 70 or Dirtrunners.
Thats a lot of gas to pay for.
Even a trip from TJ to me is 85 miles (I think)
If anyone comes to Staten Island, there is a spot nearby that I think we can get to. This would be best so that we have time to go to the city.
On that note, if no one wants to go into Manhattan, speak up.
I work there every day, and don't need to see it personally.

Robriguez, I don't have a problem with dirtrunners other than the fact that it's small, and has very small jumps.

I'm open to suggestions guys.
Take what I posted and give me your thoughts and lets come to an agreement on what were going to do.

Let's see if Trax70 will give us the track for a day of bashing first, before we make a decision.

I didnt think of that. Trax70 IS much bigger. (from the photos anyway, I've never been to either) I was just thinking that having a track almost to ourselves might be better. I dont care. I just wanna hang out with you guys and have some fun and show off the rides and non driving skilz!

I agree with Ratzo on the NYC stuff, we live here so it doesn't matter to me if we go or not, its more for you out of town guys as far as I'm concerned.

Rob. Dirtrunners has the regulars there practicing for the next race day.
That place ALWAYS has people there, and the track is tiny.
Trax is huge. BUT!
The distance for 2 days in a row could mean 8-12 hours of driving for TJ.
Staten Island has a couple of spots to bash but it's a hike into the woods.

Here's what we'll do.
I'll post a question, and the majority will rule.

SATURDAY:
Dirtrunners, trax70, Staten Island, Manhattan?

If we bash in staten island, we'll have time for Manhattan.

Ok I'm 100% lost right now...

This is my understanding and what I've got planned...

Saturday: Meet up with the guys and hang out for the day, if we bring out the R/C's some where then that's fine. However I'm mainly using Saturday to meet and greet.

Sunday: This is the day of 'the event' and what I'm concerned about. What is Trax70's plans? Do they only race on Sundays? Can we bash on Sunday at Trax70?

From the posts above some people are talking about Trax on Saturday, which is fine and dandy but my concern is Sunday. Sunday is the day of the RCNT Bash as far as I'm concerned.

Now please those that know please explain.

I 2nd the idea of the meet and greet on Saturday and bash Sunday.

Trax 70 has a normal race day on Sunday.
We can't do anything about that.
So it's race on Sunday.

I thought Saturday was meet and greet also.
Then race Sunday.
The heats go pretty quick and you won't want to all be in the same group because you will need someone to pit your car.

I like the meet and greet Saturday too, but I think if we want to bash rather than race we are going to have to find another location. I know I would much rather bash than race in this situation. That way we can all run whenevr we want, or just hang and chill whenever we want, and not have to follow a strict schedule.

Ok that's all I needed to know, I was getting confused about what day everyone was talking about.

Honestly I'd like time to be able to bash, being that I plan on getting together with most of you if not all of you at some point or another on Saturday. But, if they are doing racing only then that's do-able as well if everyone else is ok with it.

We need to find out what the majority wants to do, then we can decide where or whats going to take place.

I hate to confuse this thread even more, but where are we all going to meet on Saturday?

Times square, in front of the Hard rock restaurant.

I'll be in NY Friday night, so I'm up for anything all day on Saturday!

Wait a minute! You locals aren't gonna take these visitors down Canal St. for a genuine Rolex for only $60.00? Come on! You haven't been to NYC 'till you've been down Canal St.!
