Can u put a 1/8 clutch on a .18 mill speci(o.s. 18) or at least a 1/8 pitched cb on a .18.my buddy wants to take the .21 out of his monster pirate and put a 18 in it but the spur is pitched to 1/8 and cannt be baught with a 1/10 pitch....what would work??

Why? The OS 18 won't pull it around very well even if you could.

The revo bells are 1/8 scale pitch, but you can only run them against plastic spurs. They won't hold up against a steel spur for more than a few minutes.

oo i forgot to mention this isnt the bigger ofna pirate...its the pirate rt 10 its rather small and it came factory with a
hyper .21 but this engine on the little car makes it a pita to controll the tires ballon out to an extreme at high speeds and not to mention the truck just spins out and flips over...i guess from what my lhs said that this is why this truck was discontinued because it was overpowerd..me and him figure since his engine is beat anyway to just down grade a little bit to slow the car down...i will try putting a revo bell on it because the truck does come with a plastic spur..thanks--Joe

You will want to also get a 1/10 sized flywheel and clutch shoes... probably be easiest if you just buy the flywheel/shoes/bell/bell bearings for the revo, instead of trying just the bell. 1/8 scale clutch shoes are twice as thick as 1/10 scale... I guess it depends on what the bell/clutch is like that your replacing.

You have this? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0005p?&I=OFNC4616&P=X

I couldn't find a stinking parts explosion for it to see what the CB is that it has... sorry. OFNA doesn't list it very nicely on their website.

hey thanks..yea the cb is stock with 14t...I'm gonna try and find a complete set-up on ebay....as long as i can get a 1/8 clutch or something of that sorts that will fit the 18 it should be a drop in because the motormounts have a universal fit to them and as well on the chassis there are three different widths so I'm sure it will just drop right in other than the diff clutch....thanks...joe
