I just bought a notebook from newegg. They advertised it has 1 GB of ddr2 400 in it. However, on the box it says 1GB of DDR2 533. Does anyone know the way to check the memory speed? I have pulled the memory out and there is no writting on it. Please I need help because if it is DDR 533 then I will leave it alone as it is, else I am getting 2GB of DDR2 522 for about $150.

About the only way I can think of is downloading Aida32. That should tell you if it's 522 or 400. Other than that, you can get into the bios - it might tell you in there.
