Nice clean place to work. My shop is thrashed right now.

It's a decent size room. If I don't end up moving, I'll have plenty of room for a nice setup in here. My garage would be better, but it gets stupidly hot in the summer time here.

I guess I broke more than I thought lol. Now waiting on replacements.

I was super excited, new tires came in and I thought I would have the xmaxx ready to go again. Apparently traxxas or the Amazon seller screwed up the packing on the tie bar mounts. Because it's the right part number but the wrong part. No idea wtf it is. Definitely annoying...

The six pack tires. Definitely feel sturdy and I assume they'll handle a lot better. They are a bit heavier, roughly 6oz each, pics show gram weights. Hopefully they don't overwork the motor. They are a tad bigger too.

No word on the tie bar mounts and ended up ordering the hot racing aluminum ones in the mean time.

Finished servicing the front and rear diffs. They definitely seemed low. 30k front and a 50/100k blend in the rear. Still waiting on my 20mil so I can do the center.

The six pack tires look Amazing!

I can't win lol. Hot racing tie bar mounts came in. Discovered the front bulkhead is broken. I guess I overlooked this unfortunately. So now it's time to wait another week for parts 🤣.

Upper and lower bulkhead was broken. I think had been broken a while. Handling was a bit terrible. Everything put back together. I checked the center diff too. Pretty sure the previous owner ear plugged it. Almost ready to be broken again.

First off, I want to think everyone for their helpful input and great threads so far. I've definitely picked up a lot of information in a few days. I didn't want to clutter up other people's threads and I wasn't sure where to put this thread so here it is.

I picked up the xmaxx a few days ago, rc noob, broke it in about 15min haha. My first round of parts have arrived traxxas HD arms, hinge pin kit, fast eddy bearing kit. I'll eventually be running blue upper and lower arms. The green arms I could get quicker. If these don't last, I'll probably get the rpm arms. Probably do the rpm hinge pin kit as well.

Future upgrades are up in the air. I have bigger better batteries on the way and XT90 connectors. I plan on using this as my learning experience for large scale rc's or rc's in general.
CONGRATULATIONS! Like you I am pretty noooooooobie to my X-MAXX. My building skills are about 6/10 while my bash crash break skills are 20/10 :) Only one thought, there is the option to activate a LEARNER MODE with the X-MAXX, this should help you keep from breaking things while you are developing your driving skills. Go to the TRAXXAS WEB SITE, load the info on your vehicle and download its' COMPLETE MANUAL. This will be much more informative than the included QUICK START GUIDE.
