My stock xmax steering servo has gone. I was wondering how many time crunch, so the quickest one I can get is 35 kg. I believe it's meant for one 10th and 1/8 trucks but if you get an adapter I believe it works. Is this a poor idea will it last.

35kg won't cut it for those massive tires and you don't really need a fast servo for something like an xmaxx, quick browsing on Amain shows several choices for 1/5th scale steering servos, but note these are typically meant to operate the best at 7.4V so you'd probably want to add an external BEC to power those hungry servos

(how did merely typing BEC automatically add an amazon hyperlink???)

Definitely won’t last. You’re gonna want a high end 1/10-1/8 scale servo if that’s the route you decide to go. I have a xmaxx and XRT with a 2085R servo. They’re decent, although I have burnt out two of them. That being said, perfect pass makes a servo specifically for the xmaxx and XRT and they’re outstanding. 10/10 would recommend. But if you’re upgrading your steering you’ll also benefit greatly from upgrading the bellcrank/servo saver.
