Are you going to use a starter box? or pull start?
The Mugen engines are pretty rockin for that ride. Mt .12 Bighead. There are some newer models out too. The .12 CVR by OS is a good pick too. Both are good in price and awesome in power. The Mugen being stronger.
Also, are you getting the kid with the 2 speed? They make a few different kits so by knowing what type of mill you are going to put in you can decide which one to go with, as well as 2 speed or 4 wheel drive.
All in all, the 2041 kit is a 2 speed, 4wd and made to accommodate a bump start mill with rear port exhaust.
